I got my ti-83 in September of 96, and at that time you couldn't access any ti-83 pages, but recently the web has exploded with many ti-83 web pages. Currently I have many ti-basic games, a few awesome assembly games, and some educational stuff, which will provide you info on programming in assembly language or programs which help you in certain subjects. Currently I am learning assembly language, and you can find example programs in my assembly area. Bill Nagel has already created the first two assembly games, and they are blindingly fast! I would keep my eyes open if I were you, since this is just the beginning of an era for the ti-83!
To make games and programs go on your calculator quick you should get the graph-link cable from Staples for only $35. This is the link-only package, so you should download the graph link software here.
I don't use any of that .uue format, it just takes up time. All of my programs should be in a .83* format when you unzip them, some might include a readme file.
If you link to this page, please feel free to e-mail me, I need all types of comments so I can improve my page. I am willing to do whatever you desire to see in a ti-83 web page Your help is eternally greatful.
Febuary 19, 1998!!!: It's been soooo long since I've touched this page. I just wish to let everyone know that I'll be touching up on this page a bit during spring break, and do a little bit of programming (now that I have a bit more confidence after the "hexidecimal is faster" incident, which "old-school" ti people should remember. Ah, I remember the good old days, when the ti-83 was the newest calc, when #calc-ti went against #ti-files. Well, I have to admit that I got pretty involved in other things , which got in the way of programming and the Ti-Files. I'd especially like to thank Dave Jaklitsch for staying dedicated to everything he does. Good job, friend, you deserve it. I'd also like to apologize for slacking off at the end as well as thank you for allowing me to help create the Ti-Files (not Ti-Philes, which in a way is the second generation). I don't plan going back to the Ti-Philes since I cannot dedicate that much time, but I will be doing a lot during the summer. Thanks to Dave, Dan, Ahmed, Movax, Bill, Geori, or anybody else I have worked with. Please visit this page, about, umm, once every 2 weeks. You'll be a lot more satisfied, since I can really only update on weekends.
July 21:I am going on vacation, but Ahmed and I are almost done with Pacdash!
July 15:I have broken 2000 hits, but this is the day I feared. This site has lasted a very long time, and it was one of the first ti-83 pages. Too many ti-83 pages have popped up, and I have moved onto The Ti-Files. I am sorry to have to announce this but it was inevitable by looking at my past news. I have, however, decided to abandon the tic tac toe project, because it sucked like hell. I am now programming the TI-Magotchi with Dan Koester, Pac Dash with Ahmed El-Helw, and Ninja Gaiden with Matt Renfrow. I wish to thank everyone for coming to my site, for a while it was my best achievement with computers, but now I have moved on. Please revisit every now and then, since I will update this page whenever I finish programming something.
May 22:Yes! I broke 1500hits! Whoever was the 1500th person can e-mail me so I can release your name! And by the way everyone, I am now programming in 83 ASM, and I am creating Tic Tac Toe! It will be pretty graphical, and hopefully it will be able to play over the link! Dstar has been released, it is the 10th ASM game!
May 7:Whoo boy I need to update. Here is a link to The BIG TI-82/83 Page. I also added Opcodes, Z80time, and Z80href to the assembly area. I added Rad Racer and Soundscape to the ti-basic area.
April 26:Insane Game is released!
April 22:I added a little picture to the links section. I also updated the assembly area.
April 20:Yes! I have broken 1000hits! El Cid was the 1000th visitor, so here is a link to his page. Turbo Breakout 2 has been released by Bill Nagel! I hope to keep this page up even though I am on the Ti-Files staff. This page will serve as a page which will allow ti-83 users to get new programs without having to go to the Ti-Files.
April 12:This page has not been updated because of 2 reasons, 1: Nothing at all has happened, and 2: I am writing reviews for the Ti-Files. Bill Nagel is pretty busy, so you won't see any ASM stuff coming from him.
April 1:Ti-Files has gone public! I am part of the staff, and I review games for the ti-83. Ti-Files will be bigger and better than ticalc.org. I have also added a program for April Fool's Day, virus, to play a prank on someone!
March 30:I changed the background. These graphics are made by me using trueSpace 2. Dan1Son was kind to give it to me. I also added some neat little icons and a little bit of java.
March 29:Yes! I found a computer while I was on Spring Break! Turbo Tron has been updated. I added Descent to the ti-basic area. I also added the newest version of Boreal, which is my favorite GUI for the ti-83. Hardware Scroll has been added to the assembly area.
March 28:Sorry I haven't updated. I am on Spring Break, so I will not be able to update for about 2 to 3 more days. Sorry.
March 24:I added DavisSoft and DarkImage Software to the links section. I also changed the chat icon.
March 22:I fixed some date errors in the News and changed the music again.
March 21:I broke 500 hits! Yes! Thanks to all the web surfers who liked my site. I promise to update this page as much as possible!!!
March 20:Since I have changed my resolution of my computer to 800x600, I've decided to change the text on the pages so they span the whole screen in 800x600. I added a link to The Calc-TI FAQ, the biggest faq on the web for ALL Texas Instruments graphing calculators.
March 18:Sorry I haven't updated in a few days according to my usual length of time to update. I added Turbo Tron to the assembly section and Password has been updated by Bill Nagel.
March 15:Geocities finally let me update my page! I added Nibbles 83Z, Bill Nagel's 4th assembly game which definitely beats the other versions you have seen. I decided to join another web ring and give better descriptions of games. In the next few weeks I plan to work only on adding more games, games, and games!
March 13:I joined Concordia Dragon's Ti-83 Gaming Ring and I changed the channel to the common TI-8X channel in the chat section.
March 12:I added Harper Maddox's Ti-82/83 Game Factory, Dan1Son's Ti-83 Game Lair, Jason's Ti-83 Stuff, and Mike's Ti-83 Page to the links.
March 11:I added another assembly game called Masken, which is Swedish for snake!
March 9:I updated the News so you can now have faster access to programs by clicking on the name of the game or program mentioned. But if you want a description, rating, and the size of a program, go to the links to the other areas below. I have a new background, and now unvisited links are black while visited links are light blue. I changed the music! I joined the Link Exchange and I got a guestbook from Lpage!
