The Card of the Day is...

Daughter of Autumn

Homelands Rare

"W: Redirect to Daughter of Autumn 1 damage dealt to a white creature."

How generous the Daughter of Autumn is, soaking up some of your white creature's damage. Mighty kind of her. There are some funky ways to use that redirecting of damage thing. Here are a few I've used:

Regeneration
For every spare white mana you can scrounge up, Daughter of Autumn will take a dive for you. Just in case you plan on sending more than 4 damage her way on a regular basis, throw Regeneration on her. I see it know...a Martin Quinn production...Fall Girl! Starring Daughter of Autumn. She'll be seen clinging to hoods of speeding cars for half an hour.
Veteran Bodyguard
Veteran Bodyguard is a great way to protect yourself from lots of creature damage. If your opponent starts building up too much damage for the bodyguard to handle, send some of it towards Daughter of Autumn. She might not look like it, but she likes redirected white damage quite a bit. She's got a reputation in certain parts of lower eastern Karakas they say.
Slight of Mind/Volrath's Whim
The possibilities you have when you slight/whim Daughter of Autumn are vast. Anything from allowing Psionic Entity to safely fire away to letting your Goblin Tinkerer go after much bigger game is possible.
