Captain of the Royal Guard
The Captain of the Royal Guard heads an elite force of fighters known as the "Royal Guard". These men are alert, stealth, and were born to be warriors. They are the guard that you'll have to pass by to enter the castle, and once inside the castle you'll see two of them stationed outside each counsel members door, and stationed other places throughout the castle. The King will also have a few, you won't see them, but they're there and should trouble arise you'll be cut down faster then you can mumble the words to any spell. The Royal Guard often heads elite missions of the king, where the general army just won't do. Once in a while you'll even see them leave the isle to accompany a Foreign Minister, or to do other things for the king, but most often they'll be training inside castle walls or hidden somewhere. It's not an easy job, the pay probably sucks, but they'll do it out of love for their king and the kingdom in general. Besides every thing is provided for them so they don't need to do the average citizen things, they can concentrate on one thing and one thing only...The Art of Killing.
The Captain himself will often be found around the king out in the open, listening to what the king has to say etc... Other times he'll be found down by his men showing them how a real man wields a sword. His sole duty is to protect the king at all costs. Any soldier wishing to become a member of the Royal Guard must be ready for rigorous tests, and even then only a chosen few will be able to join. Of course, any soldier is free to spare with the a Royal Guard member, but most only do when they feel like being defeated :)
