Minister of Domestic Affairs
The Minister of Domestic Affairs must be a man of the people, able to "mingle with the common folk", get their ideas on current situations, and be able to judge the overall morale of the populous. His duties as a counsel member are to keep the people informed on what their King is doing for them, and spreading the word of how great the Counsel and Castle is, etc. etc.. Often he'll be found down at the bar singing a song while he plays his lute, or helping an elder lady weed her garden for he must have a good reputation with the people if they are to believe them when he tells them something. He sits on the counsel as almost a representative of the people, no he's not elected, but he expresses the peoples general feelings as well as his own on the subject at hand. This can be very useful in decision-making for a king would not want to upset the majority of those he rules. Often the counsel member will be the first one to hear of rebellion should one come up, and he can either soothe the peoples fears, or if it's just a few people starting trouble for nothing, he'll get a few of the Royal Guard to quickly quell the situation.
