Teleport Protection

Description:
This spell summons a displacement field to protect the recipient from teleport spells. Once the spell is cast it can be cast again only after 1 hour has elapsed since the spell wore off. The duration of the spells depends directly upon your skill in occult.spells.summoning.

This is one of those 'promised alot but got little spells'. First, the time between casting is longer than 1 hour (I dont care what the immortals say, it is). My best guess is, the better your summoning, the longer the spell lasts but also the duration between casting gets longer. Second, with the changes to TP, this spell is pretty useless unless you need to go afk in a TP zone.

Dimensional Tentacles

This spell will causes a mass of tentacles from an inter-dimensional beast to cover the target, immobilizing them. The victim's defensive ability is also reduced. The tentacles will return to the demonic void after some time.

Love this spell! Love it! Love it! Love it! This spell is great. First, it doesn't start combat, so you can use it before backstab. Second, it prevents the target from leaving the room, so you can cast one on each of the 5 wandering monsters you just found and know they wont wander away from you. Third, it lowers dex so it makes the target take more damage. This spell used in conjuntion with backstab and dark fist gives us the ability to get good xp.

Insect Plague

Description:
This spell allows you to call upon the powers of evil to send forth a swarm of ravenous locus to strike your foes.

I don't often use this spell. It has some cool messages, but it always seemed to cost more GP than the 200 stated above. It is one of the best of our few area effect spells.

Summon Foul Servant

Description:
This spell summons a servant of evil to come to your aid. You must have a severed head as a sacrifice in order to appease the summoned being. Remember to "dismiss" it when you no longer need its help, so it can go back to where it belongs.

I don't much like carrying around a bunch of heads or a demon carcass so I don't use this spell very often. Summon servant is normally good enough for my needs. Do remember to dismiss your summons afterwards since these do not dismiss themselves.

Summon Servant

Description:
This spell summons a servant of evil to come to your aid. When you no longer need its help, command it to go back to the demonic lords who sent it, with the "dismiss" command. The summoned creature will disappear once it is finished protecting you. The spells success depends on your skill and your alignment. The strength of the servant depends upon your skill.

For the GP cost, this is a powerful little spell. I use it even now to form a living 'wall' to protect me during battle. Learn how to use summons effectivaly and you can get great xp, especially at lower levels. You must be evil to use this spell. The summons will often dismiss themselves, but sometimes they will not so be sure to dismiss any that are there after the target is dead.
WARNING: Do not attack your summons or do any attacks against something named 'servant' or 'monster' while you have summons present. You will get hit with a *very* painful punishment.
