FAQ - Online Interview

What are your strengths?
I consider myself to be a very strong willed person with the ability to find a solution to any problem I am presented with in life.  I think I am a very systematic person who will not act without first coming to an informed decision.  I enjoy working in teams that are energetic, unified, and proactive.

What are your weaknesses?
Honestly, before college, I was a somewhat of a procrastinator and quite unorganized.  I quickly learned that if I was to be competitive after college, I needed to work on these weaknesses.  Balancing a college workload, a full-time job, my personal and social life has taught me to balance my workload and prepare in advance for upcoming deadlines.  I have learned that I enjoy the sense of accomplishment from getting a job done early and knowing that the quality of my work is better than a last-minute attempt.  College has also taught me that being organized has a great impact on success.  I have developed an organization system for myself that seems to have had a positive effect on my college career.

What have you done to overcome major obstacles in your life?
I feel the best way to overcome an obstacle is to take the time to fully understand the problem and then devise a clear solution.  For me, it is best to fully understand not only the problem, but also the root causes of a problem.  This allows people to target solutions that will directly deal with the problem instead of dealing with the effects that can sometimes "mask" the true problem.

How do you define success?
I define success as consistently meeting or exceeding goals.  This can apply to a single person or an organization.  I believe that a company can be successful by employing the most talented and dedicated workers.

Describe your ideal job...
I would like to work with a company that acknowledges employee accomplishments and helps to develop a work environment to stimulate teamwork and success.  With the growing power of IT, it would be nice to work at home, but I would not at all mind working in an office.  I would like a job where I can specialize in a skill or group of skills to help build my career.  I believe myself to be a team player, which is why I prefer to work in a group with similar feelings.  I find it is extremely hard to manage or be part of a team that does not care about their task or team.
