Introduction.

The Old Testament

In the beginning there was the word, and the word was QUAKE. He sent down his own blessed son for the salvation of man, and his name was Internet Quake. The great prophet Hamster (me) looked upon this and saw that it was good. He had a go at Internet Quake and saw (lo!) that he was very bad. Thusly he did feel very left out as he kept on getting beaten, both by other people and by a great force known only as 'the fucking lag'.

Hamster did thus cast out amongst his friends and found two other disciples of Internet Quake known only as 'Sakattack' and 'Killerbill' and found that they too were very bad. Thus did they band together and form their own clan where could feel comfortable with their crappyness and devise a force strong enough to combat 'the fucking lag'. After many months of thought this was completed, and it was called 'only having clan members from the local area'. And thusly did this prove to be the beating of 'the fucking lag', which was banished to the fiery pits of hell (or America as it came to be known).

So the call was sent out far and wide via the archangel 'Internet' for Quake addicts of all abilities from the area known as 'London, England'. This is it.

The New Testament

But lo, the great prophet Hamster didst move to the great city of Edinburgh. Many doubting Thomases did proclaim that this was verily the end of the clan as 'the fucking lag' wouldst surely triumph over such a distance. But the great Hamster didst thorogly show that this theory was a load of shit, by setting Quake up on the University network thus reducing lag to anywhere in the country to less than 100.

Thusly did Hamster at a stroke both squash 'the fucking lag' even further, and give his clan a beter chance of winning by becoming (and recruiting other) Low Ping Bastards.

Unfortunately one of the founding members known as 'Sakattack' did verily become an insuffereable arsehole and by what was known as 'mutual agreement' he left the clan making way for people who actually gave a shit. His story can be read here.
