You pick up the thirteenth scroll from the ground. The ancient vellum has inscribed on it messages from adventurers like yourself who posted notes on the notice board in times past. The spectral minion who guards the board room has transferred these old notes to the scroll to keep these messages for posterity.
You read the scroll, showing messages from April 1999:

As I read the varied comments posted by adventurers on this dusty board, I cannot but help feeling both the most amazing sense of deja-vu and the utmost amusement. Is not the world but an endless cycle, rolling around and repeating itself?
Dear Nitramin, I fear that you are mistaken when thinking that the comments expressed by people on this board reflect in any way the opinions or thoughts of the great Sauron and his minions. Why should the forces of Sauron have any support for the followers of some false god on an unknown continent? That said, if the followers of this 'Takhisis' when attacked by the followers of some 'Paladine' and by the foolish rangers defend themselves, this can hardly weaken the hand of the Dark Lord.
Once more the trumpets of self-righteousness echo throughout the lands, as the pathetic 'Alliance' come together to attack an innocent people. Will the same fate follow, with the warmongering 'Alliance' brought to their knees by their opponents, and having to resort to appeals to the false gods who live in Chalmers? Only time will tell, but the cycle does seem to be coming to a close once more.
On a lighter note, it is amusing to watch the attempts at propaganda. I would warrant that 'The Knighthood's Death' is actually an 'Alliance' spy, attempting to give the 'Alliance' material that they can use in the propaganda that they use to try and discredit the dragonarmies. Likewise, the 'Anonymous Ranger' is obviously a member of one of the dragonarmies assuming a false identity in an attempt to play upon the anger of the 'Alliance'.
In the end, it matters little who triumph, for the 'Alliance' fall further into the morass of moral insolvency with each step they take. Any potential victory for the 'Alliance' is in reality a victory for Sauron, for the hypocrisy of the 'Alliance' destroys and claim to goodness. A victory to the dragonarmies simply further weakens the foolish rangers and their allies, making the ultimate victory of the Dark Lord even closer at hand.
The Mouth of Sauron.

It warms my heart to see that the Rangers is infested by Spies and other sabotating Agents.
To the Knights of Solamina : Why don't you do your duties for the peasants and the cities in your land? why do you hide like a swarm of scared bugs when the forces of 'evil' appears? I belive the 3 supporting God's is VERY displeased with your efforts thus far.
To all the Forces agains the cursed Knights, Rangers, Neidars and Calians...UNITE..A War is coming! Kill, destruct and Destroy those puny fools who are not worty to live side by side with the Forces of the Mighty ones.
Knights..you're still Pussies!

Hail Ithilien!
The propaganda machine of the Red Eye certainly finds some quaint ways of stating its loyalty and support to the Lady Takhisis these days. To the creature who had the effrontery to call himself an "Anonymous Ranger": Whether you seek to flatter yourself, or more likely, to disgrace Gondor, you are not a Ranger and you will never be one.
Even in the unlikely event that you have managed to make your way into the Gondor halls and obtained the tokens of Rangerhood, it takes more than a signature and a cloak to make a Ranger of the Westlands. I hope that you have
not come this far, since that would quite likely mean that I have been performing my recruiting duties rather poorly. But even if you do indeed live in Gondor at the moment, how can you possibly call yourself a Ranger, if not only
to slander our name?
Everything you would have learned in Gondor, from our deep history, from our libraries and not least from the example of the many brave people who serve in our ranks must have spoken as clearly to you as I do here: You are not a Ranger.
Obviously, someone willing to trade the light of the Lady Elbereth for whatever dark powers Takhisis conveys to her followers, someone who mistakes brute force for true strenght, someone without hope for Arda and with nothing but contempt for our allies in Solamnia, is no Ranger. Anonymous creature, should you at this moment be dwelling within our halls I have to say: The sooner you complete your betrayal and run off to the Dark Lady of Krynn, the better. Good riddance!

Hail! I'd like to say that I am pleased with all the conversation that has been brought up recently...and, regarding that conversation, I'd like to say something very simple...KNIGHTS SUCK! Monika could kill every knight that is
out there, and rather handily too.
The Dragonarmies will CRUSH the Knights, in one swipe! It has been fortold, and so shall it come to pass. None can withstand Her Might! Not even the Rangers of the Westlands will survive her Wrath, if she decides to try. We can only watch as Her Armies wipe out every living being.
Yours Truly,
The Anonymous Ranger.

To the Knighthood's death – it could be that the Knights no longer protect Kalaman because they realize that they have become just as evil (if not more) than those that they have sworn to kill… and they also realize that Lord Calof and his friends would never let scum like the knights into their city – scum as bad as the dragonarmies.
A thought in passing – could the hatred of the knights have anything to do with the fact that one of Bayerd's squires has joined the ranks of the dragonarmies? Not that this should have anything to do with anything, as the squire was simply following brave Sir Bayerd's example on honor and loyalty.
Long live the Death Knights!

Mortimor : Yes indeed, The Knights has proven several times to be the cowards they claim NOT to be.
Following the Oath and the Measure they do not, slaying enemies when they are defenceless and helpless, AS WHEN THEY SLAYED ANGMARINS IN THE STARTROOM, BLOCKING THE ONLY EXIT EAST.....you know what? They status dropped from claim-to-be-knights to the level of maggots in seconds *spit*
Why don't the Knights protect Kalaman from attackers? 'The Knights of Solamnia's main goal is to protect the lands and cities from all "evil" ' ? ahh..I see..they are afraid to be slayed by the hordes or evil...Muhahahahaha.
Again...Pussies!

After reading these notes on Monika, and having actually TALKED to her on occasion, and finding her a rather intelligent person, I must say that any action by a player against another player increases the enjoyability of the game. I look around irl and see other people playing other types of MUDS, and the Singular reason I can come up with for finding those MUDS exceedingly boring is that people just run around and masskill all the time. *SNORE*
If you go ahead and get the admins to delete every single player who kills any other player, Genesis will be boring, and I thought the point of the new server was to get MORE players, not less. The one constant that has always been interesting to me was the fact that with players, you can NEVER tell what in the world they will do. Any npc enemy, one can develop tactics against, but a player just brings SO much more to an altercation. While I do not go out and look for fights, when I do get into them, it is an interesting point of genesis.
I guess my WHOLE point is Genesis needs people to be agitators, needs people to stir things up, needs people to be INTERESTING. It matters not whether one LIKES everyone, just that they respect them in whatever capacity they are in relation to them.
I respect Monika, her person, and her character, simply because she HAS a character, and sticks to it. In conclusion, live "genlife" a little. Or a lot. But have fun in doing it, and THAT above all else is why ANYONE should MUD.

I am sorry, for adding another "whiner-note" to this ongoing discussion, but I just couldn’t help it...:)
I too am one of those innocent victims of the brave Knights.
I was slain in the Bree Post Office, during the Angmar War. Being a Gnome, layman monk, newbie champion at that time, I of course didn’t stand a chance when 3 Knights and a Ranger blocked my exit. I did'nt fight back when I was attacked, but only trying to escape... which was pretty meaning less, with them being much bigger than I.
Funny thing was, when I send a letter to the Conclave I was told that, they thought I was an Angmar, and that it was just too bad. Strange reaction, but they just dismissed the case. So as everyone knows (maybe with the exception of the Knights themselves), they kill innocent just as much as any other guild. So please cease this narrow-mindedness, and look to your own ranks also, if you want to accuse others of any crimes.
And I couldn’t agree more with Nitramin and Imrahil’s latest notes...
Nuff said.

Wow, there I don't check the board here for a few days, and suddenly a big discussion about me springs up and I'm
promoted to legend. But one thing after another:
I did not break our treaty in any way, I tried hard to keep peace between the dragonarmy and the knights because
I do not liked seeing my smaller teammates die during the angmar wars. I offered the knights peace before joining
the dragonarmies - and morrigan accepted that in the name of the conclave, but that was fast forgotten. I did not attack any knights anymore then for a long time, until a team of 4 attacked and blocked me for no reason.
Since then, I got permission to hunt those that were hunting me, and I did so, without much luck though.
Then my teammate, a gladiator, got a kill on tiny little Peldor, after he ran away after attacking me.
This kill did not in any way break our agreement as it was written but it apparently angered the knigths who
had thought they found a way of fighting without danger ! Then the knights suddenly went berzerk - first they
threaten, then they declare war, then they take it all back and suddenly have no more policy towards us at all.
Knights stopped protecting Kalaman, Neidar as well, just we stick to our protection of Flotsam.
About me ruining the game for others:
If I have ruined the game for you, please at least have the courage to tell me your name these anonymous accusations are ridiculous. I do not run around in sparkle killing newbies for no reason I usually have a very good reason for what I do. I kill rangers because they made me their only permanent notorious outlaw I can't just wait and let them attack me whenever they feel like it, and do nothing myself ! And I do not fight people because I want
to ruin the game for them - it makes the game more fun and interesting for most. Just look at nikiel, who I killed once as a small squire - he's big enough to beat me up these days. And then I often enough hear from good people how I made the game more fun for them !
To Soote: Heh, you didn't sound so convincing when you wimped around at DD last time we fought ! And I wonder if you would even dare speak with me without wielding a dwarven waraxe ? But you are right, i'm not really that huge as some others, for some reason I keep dying to often !

Having read the scroll, you drop it back in the pile, where the spectral minion places it in the right location. Now you can return your attention to the board room.
