Genesis Mud: Tolkien's Army of Angmar

Tolkien's Army of Angmar: Genesis Mud

Listen to music while you read

------------------------

You pick up the fifteenth scroll from the ground. The ancient vellum has inscribed on it messages from adventurers like yourself who posted notes on the notice board in times past. The spectral minion who guards the board room has transferred these old notes to the scroll to keep these messages for posterity.

You read the scroll, showing messages from April 1999:

Well-met traveller.

When you listen to the words of the Mouth of Sauron, then stop and remember that he is just that. When you have done that you will see more clearly where those words come from. From his master, who excel in deceit and truth twisting.

For those interested in rangers and poisons, you'll love this tidbit.

Recently the ranger with questionable ethics (yes you guessed it, Zoirenna) was taken down and killed by poison.
Ironic eh?

Dear Nitramin

Your notes are much better when you don't utter complete nonsense and falsehoods. How can you possibly claim that rangers do not attack guild halls? Have you so quickly forgotten the disgraceful act that your fellow rangers participated in when they attacked unarmed and unarmoured angmarim in their beds?

And what was the response of your so-called Officers? Not much, from memory.

That action was yet another example of the fall from grace of the rangers, the supposed force of righteousness and virtue. It is little wonder that the West fell.

Hail Ithilien!

Kylorin, I stated nothing but simple facts in my last note, all of these in accordance with the truth, if this concept still hold any meaning to you. I have been around long enough to expect nothing but slander and lies from the ghouls of Imlad Morgul, and it is strange to find that this can still hurt me. I suppose that memories of a time when you were a true and loyal creature, when bonds of friendship existed between us, is the cause of this hurt. Of course I knew that all such bonds ended when your natural life did, when you swore that onholy vow to the master of the lost tower. But such memories do not die easily. I wonder what dreams haunt your own sleep, if creatures like you ever sleep.

I know my own role in the Sanction affair, and I am ready to take responsibility for my own actions, as well as those of my fellow Rangers. If anyone should act in a way which would truly dishonour Gondor or my guild, I have full confidence that my Officers will take action against it. And, Kylorin, Rangers _do not_ attack guild halls. Sanction is a city, not a guild hall. Rangers do not assault the halls of the Dragonarmy, or any other guild hall. Should anyone observe any such thing taking place, I would advice them to submit an account of the events to our Council.

As for the exile of my father's race, it was as you well know a voluntary exile, and an exile chosen with the very purpose of bringing doom to Morgoth and his slaves. That Enemy has been banished from the world, and the renegade you serve today will soon follow.

I mourn for Kylorin, my friend who fell to the Enemy. The undead slave of darkness who lays claim to his name today has only my enmity.

Re: Nitramin.

Hail in His Name!

Your story is as absurd as it is untruthful. Quite a few of the Rangers, including your Master Tactician and the Sergeant of your Company, have been raiding Sanction, the Dragonarmies' Guild hall, since the Armies first began recruiting. When a group of people deliberately make themselves indistinguishable, you should be prepared to accept responsibility for the actions of your fellow Rangers. With the constant raids in mind, you should not have been surprised at your treatment by the raids victims. Quite interesting that your "scouting trip" involved attacking the first troops you saw, which you quaintly describe as "defending ourselves".

I personally find it funny that such a large number of rangers are found outside the bounds of Middle Earth, deliberately attacking another guild that has nothing to do with their own war. Still, I suppose it is merely their haste to be as far away from Gondor as possible when the blight of the Exiles of Aman is finally cleansed from Arda. Strange too that you disavow the single most often used tool of the Rangers, Falsehood, when your own note is such a painfully apparent example of it.

By my hand,
Kylorin, Servant unto Him.

I don't think you are one whom should complain about others running from fights. Running away and link-dieing a few rooms away is even worse and you have done that quite a few times.

Every time I have had you at the brink of death you have run, and then you complain about Monika doing the same.

One thing is certain, you will never be notorious for anything and I doubt there is a goblin who deserve the most notorious title more than Monika.

On a small side note: I was, of course, referring to the Anderson Clan of Glencoe. You know, with kilts and tartans, whiskey and haggis. No Neidar Clan. And I know we reside far far from Middle Earth, but as our worlds meets and intertwines in Genesis I felt entitled to post a note here as well as any gondorian, rohirrim, dunadan, ringwraith or hilldwarf.

Now, on with the show. Anderson, Head of the Clan.

Well, what can i say.
There is one too many knights, who donīt know what Honour is. It seems interresting to me, that almost all comments from the good guilds are anonymous. So i did that too... hmm, seems to have made something wrong. Playerfights in genesis are one of the things, that make it more interresting.. Although some thinks that if you are small, you have no reason to have an oppinion, as they could kill you easily.

Iīd better stop my ramblings now..
Have fun in the game.. Itīs the important thing.

So Monika you say that you whoop my ass, how about last time when we fought. You backstabbed Baneray and attacked him at the Green Dragon when me, him and some other took him, i attacked you and Mariuz assisted you....And what happened You are in a very bad shape. Mariuz is feeling very well. Monika is terribly hurt.
> You hurt the right arm of Monika with your heavy steel club, rather bad.
Monika barely touches your left leg with her basket-hilt falchion.

and then you ran away like alwayz. the reason for you regular death's must be that you want to maintain the Most Notorious Goblin of Kalad title which you will never have when the REAL most notorious is on...

Btw, Anderson, head of the Clan. What clan, KKK?? we aint got no head, STUPID!! Since the very respected dwarf Rauko retired as a Thane and soon will the Neidar Clan get a new Thane. But why talking about the Neidar Clan on the Deps' AA homepage, i see no reasons to do that.....

Monika will soon die by my Superior Guru'd HSC/DMS

Soote the Great Rockfriend and Mighty Ogreslayer of the Neidar clan

Having read the scroll, you drop it back in the pile, where the spectral minion places it in the right location. Now you can return your attention to the board room.
