Genesis Mud: Tolkien's Army of Angmar

Tolkien's Army of Angmar: Genesis Mud

Listen to music while you read

------------------------

You pick up the ninth scroll from the ground. The ancient vellum has inscribed on it messages from adventurers like yourself who posted notes on the notice board in times past. The spectral minion who guards the board room has transferred these old notes to the scroll to keep these messages for posterity.

You read the scroll, showing messages from December 1998 and January 1999:

I have heard tell that the armies will be opening very soon, in fact as soon as everyone agrees that the guild is good:-)

And I certainly hope that they do, because its getting boring without the evil fighting guilds.

Hey, Dep… loved your story about Bast! What is happening with the rest of the kill logs?

Last time I posted I asksed about Xar’s death… well, I heard a little more, so I though I would let you people know what happened!

Apparatntly Xar was killing in the orc camp near Bree, when a mage called Trenagin turned up. The mage didn’t like a ranger messing around in the camp, so he stole all of Xar’s money.

Xar didn’t like this so he chased after Trenagin and ran into him on a boat. Being the fool that Xar is, he attacked Trenagin where neither of them could flee… Trenagin toasted Xar’s scrawny little ass quick smart.

The really sad part is the rumor that Trenagin was punished by Stern for killing Xar… I mean, Xar is a ranger, right? And he was killing in the mage camp? Go figure!

Anyway, it was a very funny story and shows how stupid Xar is.

Monks rule. If my priests weren't neutral, we would rule from our mountain top over all who wish to test our power...

It’s Christmas time, which is a time for goodwill to all.

That means that we shouldn’t be mean to anyone, even to people like the rather youthful Mage Killer guy.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

All I really have to say, is that although Angmar Army may have been disbanded, and now we all have gone on, it is GODDAMN FUN to look at those old kill logs. And of course, special thanks to Dep, for keeping the place alive.

That's right, knights, I will come back to haunt you all once again some day. :)

Don’t you just hate jerks like this so-called ‘mage-killer’ guy? I don’t like the mages, but I don’t think that someone who barely managed to kill a newbie mage should really be running around shooting off his mouth like that.

The poor little boy probably got frustrated when his girlfriend dumped him, so he had to resort to posting feeble little messages which litter up these pages.

You have a fun site here, Dep, but comments from people like ‘mage-killer’ definitely detract from it.

Hiya

After the army closed, I never bothered to visit these pages, but I must say you did a great job keeping the army alive Deproelius.

I only wish those new evil-aligned guilds will open soon, not that I want a new war, but the realms need some balance.

Where are those stories from the war by the way? Its quite interesting to read, they're not here or I got lost in the bushes? :)

Hail from the East!

Re Mage killer: *snicker* I am never unprepared, as I don't trust anyone (another common trait of Morgul Mages). But bring it on anyway, it has been some time since I have had a good laugh over someone attacking me *pat Javelin*.

Re Artemis: Xar died because he made one little mistake. He attacked a Morgul Mage of some skill. Details I am prepared to give out are that he died rather swiftly, and in a great deal of pain. You'd think that by his age, he would have learnt by now *mlaugh*.

As for who mage killer is, who knows? Who cares? I certainly don't. He is an amusing, albeit pathetic, little jester, whose entire existence revolves around providing entertainment for us on this board.

Until next, go in shadows...

Just a thought, but maybe this mage-killer guy is actually Xar, pissed at his death at the hand of a mage?

By the way, does anybody have any more info on Xar’s death? I would love to know more.

Thanks,
Artemis

Having read the scroll, you drop it back in the pile, where the spectral minion places it in the right location. Now you can return your attention to the board room.
