The Kahedans
The priests of Kaheda are a guild of monastic worshippers who have banded together to seek enlightenment from their chosen gods. A strange group, the priests of Kaheda worship different gods - some follow the gods of darkness and evil, while others follow the path of light and righteousness. The only common link for these priests is the training they undertake in the mountains north of Re Albi, where they learn ancient martial arts, making them powerful and dangerous opponents in combat.
Many priests of Kaheda have found a role within the Dark Lord's Army, teaching the soldiers of the glory of the Dark Lord, and the rewards that lie in wait after the final battle with the West. These warrior priests are an integral part of the Army, and make up some of the most potent warriors in the Army of Angmar. Not all Kahedan monks follow the ways of the Dark Lord however, and on occasion, Army patrols may be attacked by renegade monks who have not seen the true way.
Experts in unarmed combat, monks are also extremely adept in wielding polearms. Their martial training allows them to fight effectively even in magical darkness, and their defensive skills are the best of all the guilds in Genesis. Monks practice a number of martial art manoeuvres, which they use in combat to disable and destroy opponents.
The weakest of these moves is the mae-geri, while they can also use roundhouses and flying axekicks. These axekicks are slow, but an ancient and skilled monk landing a flying axekick can drop a weaker foe in a single blow. Their studies of pressure points also allow monks to stun their foes with a special punch, known as a plex. While stunned, the opponent is rendered effectively helpless. Luckily for the Army, laymen monks are only able to perform a mae-geri, which is relatively ineffective.
Occupational monks also have the ability to perform a series of backflips in combat, which distract their opponents and boost their defensive abilities for a period of time. While harder to hit, the monk is not able to attack while performing backflips. Monks also have the ability to telepathically communicate with each other, which makes them ideal scouts.
