CritMass is a game similar to tetris from Eyebeam Entertainment that has VGA graphics and supports most sound cards for sound effects and background music. This game is similar to Tetris in that blocks of two balls fall from the top of the screen and you have to place them at the bottom. The balls come in many different colors, and when four balls of the same color touch, they disappear. The point of the game is to outlast your opponents. Multiplayer games of up to four players are supported on one computer. Any of the players can be controlled by the computer. Requires: 386/25+, 640K RAM, 512K conventional memory.

Board Warfare is a wargame from Mike Cozart that has VGA graphics (640x480x16 colors) and no sound support. In this game two opponents control the red and blue armies on a hex-based map. The units are represented as small boxes with symbols designating what kind of unit they are. To win the game you have to destroy the enemy army before they destroy yours. Or gather more points by the time the 30 turn limit runs out. Either army can be controlled by a human or computer player. Estimated Requirements: 486/25+, 4MB RAM.

In this game you only have one life. Lose that and the game is over. Two player games are supported on one computer simultaneously. Requires: Pentium 100+, 16 MB RAM.

Mini-Golf Classic is a miniature golf game from Patrick Shaughnessy that has EGA graphics and has no sound effects or background music. In this game you control a little blue square, your club. The ball is a little yellow square. To get the ball into the hole, you must position the club to control the force of the swing. The farther away you are from the ball, the harder you hit it. Multiplayer games of up to four players are supported on one computer in hot-seat fashion. Requires: 486/25+, 4MB RAM.

Star Control 3 is an arcade game from Accolade that has SVGA graphics and and supports the Sound Blaster for sound effects and background music. This demo includes an example of Hyper Melee combat from the full game. You and an opponent, either of which can be controlled by another player or the computer, choose a ship out of your fleet to control. Then you go into an arcade combat round where the two ships fight using and interface similar to Asteroids. Estimated Requirements: Pentium 60+, 8MB RAM.

Bref is a Columns clone that has SVGA graphics and supports most sound cards for sound effects and background music. In this game blocks that consist of three multi-colored Brefs (little bug-eyed guys) fall down from the top of the screen. You have to match up the colors of the Brefs so that three or more are touching. The point of the game is to make as many Brefs disappear as you can before the time runs out. Two player games can be played on one computer simultaneously. As one player makes his Brefs disappear, blocks will land in the other player's area to mess them up. Requires: 486/100+, 640K RAM.

Monsieur Boom is a Bomberman clone that has VGA graphics and supports the Gravis Ultra Sound for sound effects. This is a multiplayer game only, there are no computer opponents that you can play against. Multiplayer games can have up to eight people using the same computer, or playing across an IPX network. But you can't have Windows 95 running for the IPX play to work. Requirements: 486/66+, 4MB RAM.
