Hattori Hanzo Slash
Very much alike with Galford in terms of his moves, the biggest difference between them being their speed. Hanzo is very much disadvantaged by his speed in movement which is slower than most of the characters in SS4. But to make up for that, he have the use of a good projectile move for both the slash and bust alignment.
Ninja Exploding Dragon Blast (

)
A projectile which serve Hanzo well, for it can be made slow enough, using the A button, to allow him to run over and make an attack following the Dragon Blast and using it as a cover.
Running after the blast, Hanzo can do a B / C running slash if the opponent block up / down. A better move to use is to run over and use the Ninja Shrike Dash (below) when the opponent block the blast. Use a jumping C slash to hit opponent if he choose to jump over the dragon blast.
When Hanzo use the POWed Dragon Blast, the blast strikes for several hits and burn the opponent up into the air. When the blast (use the A button for speed) connect, jump up immediately and use a C slash when close to give an extra slash to the opponent while he is still being burned by the fire. This move can also be incorporated into the Super Death combo by stopping on the 12th slash and using the Dragon Blast, then
C slash to hit him for a 20 hit combo. Jump before using the slash, otherwise the move would come out as a pounce attack. After both characters land from the slash hit, use the Dragon Blast again and hope that the opponent of thinking of counterattacking you. This is Hanzo's most damaging and powerful combo, and so try to maintain a full power bar always.
When using the Dragon Blast before following up with the Ninja Shrike Dash, let the Dragon Blast travel about half the screen before you run towards the opponent if the A button is used; it moves very slowly and Hanzo would end up reaching the opponent ahead of the Dragon Blast if he run immediately. However, using the B button for the Dragon Blast would make it reach the opponent more quickly, so start running straight after you perform the move.
Ninja Shadow Splitter (

+ A / B)
Hanzo's equivalent of Galford's Shadow Copy move, but slower in execution. See the respective section at Galford's page to learn to make use of this move.
Sky Dance / Ninja Buddha Reverse Blow
(

+ AC) / (AC when hit)
Hanzo disappear in a puff of smoke to strike from the air. Use it to dodge projectile moves and at the same time catch the opponent when he is open to attack then.

Ground Slash / Ninja Demon Reverse Blow
(

+ BD) / (BD when hit)
Hanzo disappear and hack the opponent after coming out of a portal from the ground. Used for the same purpose as the Sky Dance, and random use of these two moves together is bound to confuse and trick opponents.
Ninja Windsplitter (In the air,

+ slash)

This move can be used to hit opponents when they run towards Hanzo, but of little use generally and average damage only. The advantage is that it can hardly be seen as the shurikens are black and blend into the background well, and Hanzo recover very fast on reaching the ground after the move. The move can be done just slightly above the ground level by by spinning the stick in a full circle, and opponents will have to block up against it.
Ninja Shrike Dash / Running Ninja Shrike Dash
(

+ slash) / (The same move used after a run)
Similar move to Galford's Striking Heads, and unblockable also. Used with the C button, Hanzo will break the opponent character's arm first with an audible crack before sending him up to be piledrived. For ways to grab the opponents using this move, refer to the 'Striking Heads' section on Galford's page.
Computer Opponent List.
First set:
Ukyo
Kyoshiro
Haohmaru: After getting a full POW, get close to Haohmaru and pressurise him by using A slash and the Dragon Blast repeatedly till he is hit and you can get a jumping slash at him. Use the Dragon Blast immediately when you land, and Hoahmaru would usually not block it, and you can get to jump and hack again ad infinitum.
Nakoruru: She tends to block the Dragon Blast, so follow up with the Shrike Dash. After getting a full power bar, use the A slash before using the A button Dragon Blast to send her up into the sky for a jumping C slash.
Tam Tam: He will jump repeatedly, so just wait for him to land, and try to get a full POW gauge before using the Dragon Blast combo the next time.
Kazuki: Use the B button to engage in ground combat most of the time, and when there is an opportunity, perform the 14 slash on him. Subsequently, use the A slash, followed by the POWed Dragon Blast and follow up with the jumping C slash. As always with Kazuki, do not jump towards him too much, his jumping C slash will get you first.
Second set:
Kyoshiro
Tam Tam
Gaira: Jump over for a jumping slash first before doing a sideswitch and doing the CD combo then to gain POW. After that, repeat the jump and sideswitch movement and use the Dragon Blast immediately after switching behind to burn him up and hack him in midair.
Ukyo: Start the round by blocking low. He will come to you; block his attack, then use the 14 slash. Once POWed, use the Dragon Blast with the C slash at a distance to hit him, or with the A button at close range to burn him up for a jumping slash.
Sogetsu: Start once again by blocking low. Chances are that he will use a sliding kick on you and you can do the 14 slash. Thereafter, wait for him to come to you, then use the Dragon Blast, or waiting for the opportunity, 12 slash combo into the Dragon Blast.
Haohmaru: Keep a distance from him. When he jump over when you are in the corner, guard crush him into the corner and use the 14 slash on him. Once you are POWed up, use your Dragon Blast repeatedly to send him into orbit. Otherwise, use the Dragon Blast, run over and use the Shrike Dash. He is usually susceptible to the Dragon blast immediately after he lands from being hacked out of the air from a previous blast hit or an ordinary air attack.
Amakusa:
Using the tips about fighting Amakusa in the General Tips page is useful; When Hanzo jump over after Amakusa strikes from being baited by a kick, use the 14 slash combo on him upon landing instead of hitting him in the air with a heavy slash. Stay a distance away after he is done, bait him and jump over to use the Dragon Blast on him the next time.
Zankuro:
After blocking his moves or sidestepping him , exploit the opening to use the 14 slash combo to gain POW. After that, use the POWed Dragon Blast to send him up into the sky and jump to hack him down again, also after defending his attck or switching sides with him when close. When he lands after the combo, do the CD combo immediately and interrupt on the 12th slash for the Dragon Blast again, ad infinitum.
Jubei:
Jump over at start of round and use guard crush on him and follow with a B slash, repeating till he is pushed to the corner, whereby you can do a 14 slash combo after he is grabbed agin. leave a distance after he fall, and jump back to him to guard crush him again, using the Dragon Blast immediately or doing the 14 slash-Dragon Blast combo before jumping for a
C slash. Use guard crush again upon landing, and repeat.

Hanzo can interrupt the Super Death Combo on the 7th slash for a Ninja Shrike Dash
