The hint page for FF2

Maybe you'll find a few useful facts.

A lot of these hints were gotten off of Cecil's Square Center, at the links!

Elle est mignon, n'est-ce pas?

At the fight against the Delta Using Sisters, Cindy, Mindy, and Sandy, defeat Cindy first. She casts Life on her fallen sisters. Then defeat Sandy, and finally, Mindy.

You can gain call for Rydia by fighting an enemy (Imp, Arachnid, Bomb, etc.) 6 times in a row. Useful!

This is to duplicate any weapon. In a battle, preferably against a weak dude, go to item select. Make the chaacter select nothing for a weapon. Go up and pick a weapon. Run away from the enemy. Re-equip that weapon, then de-equip it, and re-equip it one more time. Now you've cloned something besides a sheep! It works!!

When you are fighting Rubricant, try casting a fire spell on him. He'll cast life on your whole party!

In the Lunar Subterranean, go to B5 floor. Enter the room with a Cabin in a chest. Walk around a bit, and you have a 1 in 64 chance of fighting a Pink Puff. Afte destroying this enemy, you have a 1 in 64 chance of getting a Pink Tail. If you get it, go to Earth and speak to the little people in the cave near Silveria. They will give you the Adament, which you go into the Underworld with, speak to Kokol the blacksmith, and you will get the armor Adament Armor that can be equiped on anyone!

Japan's FF4 was way different

Zemus really isn't hard. Rydia should have at least 2,000 HP, meaning she should survive the Big Blast that Zemus uses and live, and not even be wounded. She should use Bahumat, if not, Meteo, Meteo is better but it takes off a whole 99 MP. Cecil should just attack, but you might want to use cover on Rydia or Rosa first. Kain'll be your best friend, because if you keep using jump, he may never get hit by the Big Blast! Rosa should be using Cure 1, 2, 3, and 4, depending on HP lost. If for some insane reason no one needs healing, the magic White works surperb. Cecil should use the duplicate items tech (see the top of this page) to make a bunch of Excalibers. Edge should throw these, and if he has no more things to use, use his regular attack (if you have the Masamune, duplicate it! However, the Masusame increases defense, so you may want to have both). The order should make Edge, Rydia, and Rosa in the back row, Cecil and Kain in the front. Trust me! Edge is averagly weak in defense but the worse in Magic Defense, getting hit about twice as hard by magic as the person with the 2nd worst magic defense, Kain.

Later on in the game, you will run into a lot of already dead enemies (ghosts, skeletons, and such). Cecil's attack with any weapon of light (Light sword, Excaliber, Legend, and others) should hit major damage, and if Rydia has the Fire whip, use it! If not, Fire 2 or 3 is fine. Do not cast fire on the enemy called ghost, on the way to the Land of Summoned Monsters.

Cool dude, but weird hair

The Queen in the Land of Summoned monsters is incredibly easy. If you beat her, you get a convient little call! How nice! Anyway, have Rosa cast Wall on her. She will keep casting Cure 3 and Cure 4 on herself, and giving it to one of the members of your party! Without using Wall, you will have an unimaginable hard time.

The magic White is one of the most effective magics in the game. Very underrated! Use it, remembering only FuSoYa and Rosa can use it.

Sylph and Odin magic have a lot in common of the act of getting them. First, go through Sylph cave, and see your poor friend Yang is unconsious. Oh no! Poor Yang. Let's help him. Meet his wife in Fanbul. She'll give you a pan. >:) Oh, poor Yang. You go back, and smack him on the head. Harsh, but effective. Yang will try to help you, but instead the Slyphs will give you their call magic, which is kind of effective, but mainy only to fill up what Rosa's Cure 3 of 4 won't. If you go back and give Yang's wife the pan, she will give you a spoon. A spoon? What can you do with a bloody spoon? A bloody lot. Go to Baron castle, and go the way where you first met Cid's workers. (before you even went to deliver the package to Mist). Walk through the gate into the tower, and go along the narrow passage. Uh oh! The wall will push us back! .......... it doesn't. So then you walk through and fight your old King (what's with that?). Make Edge chuck the silver spoon (I don't think Yang's wife'll be too happy...) at Odin, and 9,999 HP will come off. Now he won't even use that $%@#$*& Odin tech! So, great, you learned Odin, which everytime I cast it, he appears for a second, and then disapears, doing no damage (think Super Mario RPG, Culex and Smithy's shredder!). Crud.

Trickers are a good source of experience in the Lunar Subterranean. All they do is cast a silly little Peep-on themselves! However, it says it is weak against thunder. Do not cast Lit or Indra on it! If you do, it will cast Fast and then Lit 3 on your party, for about 1,000 HP each person! This probably isn't enough to kill, but Rosa and Cecil's MP is precious. You will fight a lot if you search for the pink tail.

If ya got anything else, e-mail me!!

Heading back to Pep's World.
