Nintendo Games

Ain't all RPG's!

<bgsound src="lufia2battle.mid" loop=infinite>

These are some of my favorite un-RPG-related Nintendo games! Have fun! Oh yeah, by the way.. you won't find many codes. Just hints. ^^ Don't expect me to tell you how to get special codes that allow you to kill the enemy in one hiti by pressing start, A, B, Q, Z, or whatever. :P

Pokémon Snap

Note: I played a Japanese version of this game, so I don't know the level names. ^^()

Gyarados: Gyarados is tricky and hard to get. What you have to do, is in the Rapids level (last, or second to last if you activated the Mew place), hit Magikarp into Mankey with a Pester Ball or Pokémon Food.. Mankey will hit the Magikarp away.. poor guy. Later on in the level, Magikarp will be flopping on land. Again, hit the Magikarp into the waterfall. Wait a second, and snap away at the powerful Gyarados that sticks his head out!

Snorlax: What's that big lump on the side of the road in the first level? Why.. it's Snorlax! You can get pics of Snorlax continually. Hitting it with a Pokémon Food makes it lift it's head a little, so you get a slightly better picture. Hit it with a pester ball, and you can get a much better picture of it's face. Use the Pokéflute, however, and you'll make it stand up and get an awesome pic!

Dragonite: Throw a few pester balls into the whirlpool at the end of the Rapids level, and out pops a beautiful (it's cute in 3-d!) Dragonite.

Charizard: He's not the hardest to get, but he may trick you a bit. Right at the end of the Fire Stage, you'll see a happy (?) little Charmeleon. Hit it with a Pokémon Food into the lava, and watch it burn. You murderer! But... what's this? Out pops a huge Charizard!! Hit it with a Pokémon Food or Pester Ball, and watch it breath fire! A must-see for fire lovers. ^^

Char Char!

Super Charmander pics: At the Moltres egg, stop before you hit it. Throw a Pokémon food to the left, near the two Charmander, and they'll call four more. Lure them close with food, and snap away. If they growl at you, you get extra points. Play the PokéFlute, and they'll sway back and forth for an AWESOME pic!

Good pic of Jigglypuff: Hit the Koffing chasing the poor Jigglypuff with a Pester Ball, and near the end, Jigglypuff will be singing it's cute song. ^^

Bulbasaur: DIB (Dino In Black).

Ditto: In the cavern stage, where you're flying around, see the three Bulbasaur? They're so cute.. but what the heck? What's with those EYES? Awefully strange.. launch a pester ball at 'em and.. what? It's a Ditto! Lure all three together with a Pokémon Food.

Slowbro: Throw a Pokémon Food into the water near Slowpoke, and it'll dip it's tail in, and evolve into Slowbro.

Moltres: This one's easy! Launch a Pokémon Food at the egg in your path, watch it drop into the lava, and snap away at the golden majestic Moltres that emerges!

Zapdos: Tricky, tricky. In the second stage, there's a Pikachu a bit away from the big egg. Lure him over with the food, and play the PokéFlute to make him zap lightning. It should electrecute the egg and Zapdos will emerge!

Articuno: Play the PokéFlute near the Jynx in the fifth cavern stage.

Motor: Near the end of the Rapids level, hit the Squirtle into the Mankey on top of the mountain with food or a pester ball. When it runs down, hit the Mankey into the switch, and get the motor, and allow you to get the Monuments.

Monument #1: Kingler. Near the beginning, keep looking to the left until your camera gets a red dot and beeps, and take a picture. It SHOULD be a Kingler, though I don't see it.. hmm..snapping this should also get you the Pokéflute.

Monument #2: Pincer. Get Zapdos out of the egg, and take a picture of the silhouette (the shadow) of the Pinsir in the next room with the Pikachu and Diglett-it's like a projector slide.

Monument #3: Bellsprout. Near the beginning, launch a bunch of Pester Balls into the volcano and take a pic of the Bellsprout-looking smoke.

Monument #4: Cubone. Lure the Vileplume out of the whole with a PokéFlute, and snap straight above it. You should snap a Cubone, if the dot turns red.

Monument #5: Mewtwo. Near the middle of the stage, keep looking left. See a bunch of glowing lights? Take a pic of the center one. Doesn't look like anything yet-but just see what develops.

Monument #6: Dugtrio. This one is mega easy. Near the beginning of the level, there are mountains in the background. Snap 'em, they look like a Dugtrio.

Mew: After snapping all 6 monuments, Mew's Moon will open up. Keep hitting the shield with Pester Balls, and take a pic of the Mew's back. If you hit the Mew's back with a Pester Ball, it'll turn around. Snap it for more than 8,000 points!

Super Smash Bros.

Jigglypuff: You actually want it? Hmm.. oh well. Beat the game. Yes, you heard me. Beat the game and beat up Jigglypuff to get this crummy Pokémon. I thought it should at least rival mighty Pikachu!! I'd bet I could play a Magikarp better! Sigh..

Captain Falcon: He's a little harder than Jigglypuff to get, but he's so much better.. SO much better. Beat the game in less than 20 minutes. That's not too hard! I recommend anyone, though Kirby, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong, who are slow (but often powerful) characters will have a harder time, while quick characters like Fox (my personal favorite) or Pikachu will zip through the levels. Ya gotta master 'em, first, though!

I'm a she! Call me a male and I kick your butt.

Luigi: Beat all 8 of the Bonus Level one games. I can't really recommend anyone 'cuz you use 'em all! ;)

Ness Ness looks good in 3-d!: Oh, c'mon guys!! This kid ain't THAT hard! Beat the game, Normal Mode, three stocks. You wimps who kept using Very Easy with 5 stocks'll have a hard time. Practice to get it-it took me 4 tries with Pikachu. Fox and Luigi can also last a long time. Samus will be good, but only if you've really mastered her. Kirby can also kick some booty.

Link's Hit The Targets: No one likes Link's Hit the Targets. That target, at the top? It's impossible! It's way too high!! Or is it? Try getting out a bomb, jumping, and doing a Smash Attack Up with A, to throw the bomb up and hit the target. You have to tap it up fast!

Time to master the characters! These are the skills you should use.

Mario: It's-a-him-a, Mario! In the flesh! ^^ He's a cool fighter, but not enough to make him the best for many people. His Uppercut (Up and B) can hit major damage, but it's still not as good as Samus's Flying Hit. His Fireball (B) is slow and only medium range, and not powerful, and his Mario Tornado only usually works when you're touching ground. Despite that, he's a medium fast and medium strong fighter-I guess that pizza must have a lot of carbohydrates, eh?

Samus: SaMuS iS a ShE!!!!! No one here in Miami can figure that out. Duh!! She walks like a girl, ne? I guess that's why she doesn't talk, only sometimes makes a computer sound. She and Fox should get together-Fox only grunts! ^^ Samus's Flying Hit (Up and B) is her key move. It can hit major, multiple, and get her up high. It's quick, easy, strong, and it feels SO good to get a 10 hit combo! ;) Her Blaster (B) is also a key move. Charge it up, and let it fly. It's slightly weaker than Donkey Kong's, but it's bigger (more accurate) and low range, and it goes through most other projectiles. Her worst move is the Bombs (Down and B). Jus' don't use 'em and you'll be fine.

Kirby: Kirby's not the most athletic guy, but he's got an amazing amount of strength. Use the Stone (down and B) often-it makes you invinsible and hits the enemy for about 20% damage. It sends 'em FlYiNg!! Kirby's suck-in (B) can be useful, but not always. It's good to have Samus's Blaster or Donkey Kong's Punch, but who needs Link's boomerangs? Kirby's Cutter (Up and B) takes a surprising time to master, but it isn't too hard. It's weak, but if you time it right, you hit the guy going up, down, and then slice again for a three hit combo. Kirby can float by pressing the C buttons, so use that. You can't fly forever, though! If you have a problem getting knocked off of platforms and not getting back up, Kirby is for you. He floats, and his Cutter attack sends him hiiiigh into the air! He's a hard one to master, though. Try his throw, too-he's got a lot of strength in those puffy little arms of his!

Link: As bad as he may be in Super Smash Bros., he still always manages to do well. Link's a lucky guy, and I just don't see why.. he's my 4th favorite character, yet he doesn't have incredibly sparkling moves or incredible speed. Link's amazing! ^^ His Bombs (down and B) can be thrown by pressing Down and B again or just A (tap forward to throw it farther). Don't hold it for too long, or you'll see how annoyed the Dodongos must be! His Spinning Sword Attack (Up and B) isn't the most useful thing, but it's pretty cool working when you're surrounded. His Boomerang (B) is slow and weak. :P I just dunno why he's so good...oh well. *That IS a Zelda 64 quote right there-that guy in Kakariko Village! ;) *

He gets really sick of Slippy too.>

Fox: James's son can really kick some booty! He's weak, very weak, but so athletic that he can sneak up and take out an enemy before the enemy can even withdraw his weapon. Fox's blaster (B) can be useful, since it goes straight, and it's surprisingly quick, compared to Pikachu's Thundershock or Link's Boomerang. His Fox Fire (Up and B) leaves something to be desired, though. Slow, weak, low-range, and inaccurate, you shouldn't use it too much. His Deflector Shield (Down and B) is among the most powerful, useful assets in the game, but it's hard to master-supposing you fight Fox. You have to press Down and B by the time that laser hits you-and that laser goes fast! I wonder why Fox doesn't talk-he's got a handsome voice.. in fact, Fox himself is pretty handsome for a polygomial male arwing-flying animal! ^^() I want to be like Fox when I grow up.

Pikachu: Pikachu's the cutest, and tell it that or it's gonna shock you so hard you..ahh, forget it, I can't think up a joke for that. Pikachu's Thundershock(B) is slow, but it has it's uses, and his Thunder Attack (Down and B) is powerful, just a little slow. His Quick Attack (Up and B) is light speed (literally), but it can't hit the enemy. It's very useful for getting by obsticles or getting back onto the course, though. Pipikachu!! Pika, Pika Pikachu!! Pipikachaaa! (only us Pikachu lovers know what that means-yeah yeah, I know, I'm a dork..)

Donkey Kong: You actually WANT to master Donkey Kong? Phhbbt. Well, okay, his Super Punch (B) is slow but strong. And I mean STRONG. It's surprisingly high range, too. His Spinning Kong (Up and B) allows him to glide, but never really does any damage, and the Ground Slam (Down and B) is useless. Give yourself a break-don't choose slow Donkey Kong.

Yoshi: Okay, I take it back. You can choose Donkey Kong as long as you don't choose Yoshi. Yoshi is.. just.. terrible. I love the little Yoshis, and Yoshi's always been a favorite character of mine (I love Yoshi's Story and Mario World 2!), but he's just pathetic in this. His Eggs (Up and B) are slow, rarely hit, and explode too early. His Lick (B) hits an entie 4 damage. You can hit the egg that comes out, but that adds-what, 5 damage if you're not on a team? Yoshi's only semi-good move is his Ground Pound (Down and B), but it's sort of weak and, unlike Kirby's, doesn't make you invinsible. His Up and B doesn't even give you an extra boost! He goes high, though.. but if you screw that up, those Eggs won't help you up.

Jigglypuff: *sigh* I take it all back. Take your stupid Yoshi or slow Donkey Kong, just don't have Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff goes twice the distance as everyone else (truely), and its attacks are weak. Its Sing (Up and B) only sleeps everyone next to it, and by the time it finishes, the enemy's usually awake! The Sleep (Down and B) is actually very strong, but there's a recoil after you hit, and even when you get right next to the enemy, it's only about a 50/50 chance that it'll hit. Its Punch (B) is just sorta there. Medium. Don't.. choose.. Jigglypuff.

Captain Falcon: Now, out of the bad characters, and into the good! Falcon's a good fighter. He's quick, and pretty much Fox's biggest rival, though I think Fox is still a tiny bit faster. His Falcon Punch (B) is slow, but hits as much as Donkey Kong's Super Punch, and is a lot faster. You just can't walk with it. His Falcon Kick (Down and B) is very fast and pretty strong, but if you accidentally go off a cliff, there's a small risk that you might slip up and go down, down, down. His Falcon Flip (cool name, Up and B) only works next to the enemy, but they go FLYING!!!!!!! I like Falcon.. although he's only, like, my 7th favorite. I still haven't played F-Zero 64! *grumbles*

Luigi: Mario's slight superior. He has all the same moves as Mario, except when you use the uppercut right next to someone, they go flying instead of just getting hit. It's cool! ^^ There's a couple differences, but I'm too lazy to name them. He can Kick with L. It's his pose, but try using it right next to someone!! Wow!! An entire 1% damage!!! ;)

Ness: You worked hard to get this guy, and it's paid off. The best part is that, if you don't like him, don't worry-in Vs. Mode, he's beatable! He's just a good character. His PK Thunder (Up and B) can be controlled, and if you hit yourself with it, Ness doesn't get hurt, but anyone who touches him as he goes sailing does!! His PSI Fire (B) can hit a lot. It's semi-fast and strong, but very limited range. His PSI Magnet (Down and B) works sort of like Fox's Deflector Shield, except instead of deflecting the attack, he gains lift! I repeat this-Fox and Ness' shields ONLY work on Projectiles!!

Star Fox 64

Now as much as I like Goldeneye 007, I didn't agree with last years Power Award-thingies in NP. The Landmaster is SO much cooler than that Russian Tank..

How to reach Sector Y: Okay, in Corneria, remember when Falco says,

How to reach Aquas: Score 100 hits in Sector Y. Too easy.

Corneria's Medal: I don't know about you folks, but I had a hard time here. Just remember this-if you shoot a missile, but don't lock on, you get a free Hit+1. Use this in the beginning. Also, the big Hit +5 robots can be wiped out with a single missile. Try not to use bombs unless you're sure it'll help-you get more points by using missiles. Also, going to Sector Y will usually get you more points (more enemies on the route).

Macbeth's Medal: To tell the truth, this one is easy. If you don't have 99 hits by the switches, don't hit them. Later, after Peppy (that's me!) says, "Well, at least we can take this boss out!
, as the boss tries to take you out, enemies will fly in the skies. There's infinite of them, and you can keep on getting points until you have enough to beat the level with a medal.

My hair is so perfect in this picture!

Sector Z: This is one of the hardest of all time. What you have to do, is make sure you have full shields for all 4 members of the Star Fox team. It's a shame you have to go to Zoness-you don't want Katt or anyone else to help. If someone tells you to the shoot the guys behind him, don't. Only do so if the animal is low on life. You have to destroy all the missles, or at least get the final hit on them, in order to get it. With enemies trailing Falco, Slippy, and Peppy, they can't shoot the missiles, and possible rob you of your Hit+10.

How annoying is Fox: Fox? He's the coolest dude in Nintendo 64 history!

How annoying is Peppy: A little, a little. He makes up for it.

How annoying is Falco: Sort of whiny, but a good fighter. He makes up for it.

How annoying is Slippy: Like you wouldn't freaking believe. She-I mean, he does NOT come close to making up for it.

How annoying is Katt: Incredibly so. I wish she could be cool like Fox or Bill.

How annoying is Bill: Not too annoying! His surfer voice may get sort of obnoxious, but it's all cool.

What is the point in that?: I dunno.. that's like asking me what the meaning of life is.

Here we go!

Yoshi's Story

Black Yoshi: In Page 2, Level 1, it's at the bottom of the last stage, near Ms. Warp 4. The arrow will point at the Red Flower. Eat the red flower, and launch up. Hit the ? block, and out will pop the Black Yoshi egg.

Pika Pi-err, waitaminute.. hmm..

White Yoshi: White Yoshi is just like Black Yoshi, only I think that Black Yoshi is a male and White Yoshi is a female, judging by their voices (in fact, I think all Yoshis are either male or female-listen to their voices). She's in Page 3, Level 2. It's in Area 2, and you have to drop off the roof to the platform on the right. Jump onto the left an drop to the platforms. Drop below the platforms to get the egg.

Goldeneye 007

Invisibility: You have to complete 00 Agent mode, the Archives, in less than 1:20. This seems hard, but there's a secret to it-don't use a weapon! If you just run, and karate chop only those you MUST, you should barely make it with a little practice. Only pull out a gun to shoot the glass.

Bond. James Bond.

Invincibility: 00 Agent, Facility, less than 2:05. That is HARD! There's a little secret, though. As you exit the bathroom, set down a mine about halfway from the stairs from the door with the computer. If it bounces and hits the door, restart. If it sticks, head for the guy with the keycard, and explode the mine as you enter. If you timed it right, most of the hallway and the whole computer room should be clear of enemies, helping greatly.

In Egypt, you must Recover the Golden Gun. You have to step on the correct tiles. This is the pattern: As you enter, go two left, two up, three right, two up, one left, one up, one left, two up, one right, and grab the gun.

Where's the custodian when you need him?

Fighter's Destiny

Get a friend's memory pack for this one, and then snatch your own. To easily learn all 10 skills for each character, play the master challenge with a character you're good with, earn about 4 or 5 skills, and quit. Go to vs. mode, have your friend purposely lose to your character, so he loses a skill and you gain one, until the losing character is eliminated. Go at it again, and soon you'll have all skills! The big drawback is that you need TWO controller packs, which is a big shame. :\

Are you mad at your friend beating you? Try practicing with Boro-do the Raider's Heel 2 (Jump forward, B, Jump forward, B). As the opponent is recovering, do the flippy-kick-thingy (down-back, B). If you earned the skills, do the flippy-kick-thingy 2 and 3 for mega combos. As your opponent gets up, do the Raider's Heel again. I think the flippy-kick-thingy is called the Rainbow Kick or something. I'm too lazy to go check.

If you realize your friend has a really hard time blocking and dodging, use Meiling. She has THREE instant death attacks that are quick (just long to excecute).

If you have trouble beating the Joker, try to keep a character who uses few middle attacks-the Joker rarely uses Hirari, and he ALWAYS blocks.

Sorry for the lack of info.. I ran out of stuff to say! ^^()
