Pokémon Characters

Trainers, characters, etc. etc. etc.

Never seen anything like THIS before! This goes into *super* detail.

<bgsound src="pkmngym.mid" loop=infinite>

Ash: A young boy from Pallet Town. He's got a rival, Gary. Coincidentally, he gets the Bike Voucher, Lift Key, Secret Key, Town Map, S.S. Ticket, etc. While Gary goes through the whole game without it! Providing you have the red version, at least.

Gary: A dude who can't stop saying "Smell ya later". The instruction guide says he's mean, but it's not true. He's just a big braggart. He becomes Pokémon Master until Ash comes in n' creams him.

Prof. Oak: He's an old geezer who used to be a trainer! Coincidentally, he has three Pokémon that you can't get anywhere else! How fortunete! He's pretty nice, though. He gives ya a Pokédex!

Bill: World's biggest Pokémaniac. If you save him, he gives you a groovy S. S. Ticket!

Caterpie: Coolest Pokémon in the TV Show. Okay, okay, so that's not a character.

Oak's Aide: Groovy guy. He gives you HM 05 (Flash), Itemfinder, and Exp. All!

Day Care Dude: He levels up one Pokémon, but sometimes they don't learn attacks. Ack.

Name Rater: Cheap, inexpensive, and easy! He lives in Lavender.

Brock: There was a young adult, he lived in a shoe, he had so many siblings, he didn't know what to do, so he became a rock+ground Pokémon Trainer. He's got a unique l'il Geodude on level 12 and Onix on level 14. He's pretty easy, even WITH Charmander. Butterfree is a great match against him. He gives you a TM for using Bide. Hardness, 1-10: He's a lowly 3.

Misty: She's so nice! Even after you beat her, she's got a lovely disposition. She's a Water Pokémon Leader, and her Staryu is on a wimpy level 18, but her Starmie, level 21, is NOTHING to laugh at. She loves to use X Defend on her Pokémon. She gives you a TM for Bubblebeam. Dang, why could SHE be BEFORE Brock?!?! Anyway, her toughness from 1-10 is probably an 8, she's tough without an Oddish!!

Lt. Surge: *pshaw* What an incoherant WIMP! He's the electric trainer, but I beat his level 18 Pikachu and level 21 Voltorb with a level 17 Pidgeotto! He's so freaking easy, he gets a 1. Simple. Why not just go and catch some Diglett to beat him even EASIER? Toughness is 1!

Ericka: So-so challenge. She excells in training Grass Pokémon, and she's really nice, though sorta weird. I HATE THAT STUPID LEVEL 29 VICTREBELL WHO USES THAT STUPID WRAP. Using a Poison Pokémon will do great against her level 29 Vileplume, so hopefully you have a Nidorino or Nidorina. A Growlithe or Vulpix from outside of town could be helpful too. Her Level 24 Tangela is a wuss. Rating is an okay 6.

Sabrina: Prepare to cringe. I love Psychic Pokémon unless I'm fighting 'em. Hardest gym leader of the game, in my opinion, with her level 38 Kadabra, level 37 Mr. Mime, level 38 Venomoth (easy), and..get this: Level 43 Alakazaam! I advise traveling both Cycling Road and Routes 12-15 before attempting her, or even defeat Koga first. Toughness is a high ol' nine!

Koga: He claims to be the master of poison and sleep techniques, but I've never met a Koffing who can use Sleep Powder. Get out your Bellsprout, Victrebell, Weepinbell, Nidorina/o, Nidoqueen/King, and Flying Pokémon, because his respectable Pokémon will Poison you to death if you don't. Don't worry about sleep-none of his Pokémon can use Hypnosis or Sleep Powder! Weird, eh? He's got two level 37 Koffing, a level 39 Muk, and a level 43 Weezing, though it's not half as tough as Sabrina's Alakazaam. He's got a 6 in hardness.

Blaine: Fire leader. He's gym leader who you can never remember the name of. This guy is SERIOUSLY easy....if you have the right Pokémon. Level 42 Growlithe and level 40 Ponyta go down in one blow, and level 42 Rapidash may be a little harder. His level 47 Arcanine only looks hard, but it's actually quite easy. He gets a 3! Nyah!

Giovanni: The mystery trainer of Viridean, he loves Ground Pokémon, though he's snuck a few part-Poison and part-Rock Pokémon in there. His level 45 Rhyhorn and his level 42 Dugtrio should be treated with the same Pokémon you used on Blaine. A Ground Pokémon would do great against his level 44 Nidoqueen and level 45 Nidoking, but don't use Electric. His level 50 Rhydon should be easy, but if you have a couple problems, don't worry. If you do have a little bit of a hard time, level up some on Victory Road. He gets a 5, middle of the road.

Lorelei: AIIIIE!! Toughest trainer in the whole game!! Get out your Moltres and Zapdos, FAST, or her Water and Ice (and even some Psychic) Pokémon will cream you. Her level 54 Dewgong will blast you with a strong Aurora Beam, and her level 53 Cloyster will do the same, but staying hidden inside his shell with Withdraw, too! Her level 54 Slowbro will give you a chance to recover, he's not tough, but her toughest Pokémon, level 56 Jynx, will make you wish you leveled up some more. Her 56 Lapras is the final, and if you beat her with 2 or less Pokémon fainted, you're doing great. Good luck. Rating is a perfect 10.

Bruno: THIS is the Elite Four?? He's gotta be Lt. Surge's Fighting and Rock loving brother or something..his two level 53 Onix are simple enough, but a level 55 Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee? Pshaw! What a wuss! Use a nice Psychic or Ghost type on level 58 Machamp and you're done with him. He gets an incredible (low) 2.

Agatha: Ever notice how girl trainers seem to be better? Well, I THINK Agatha is a female. It's kinda hard to tell. Her/his/its pants give it away. Poison and Ghost trainer with a Level 56 Gengar? YIKES, that's tough. *shudder* Yuck, Golbat. Creepiest Pokémon, and not only that, but this guy's level 56. Haunter is a yawn at level 55, and Arbok is only a minor threat on level 58. Here's the hard part-she's got a level 60 Gengar. Good grief. She'll get an 8.

Lance: If you beat this guy, you're home free. Dragon trainer Lance's two level 56 Dragonair use too much Agility, making them sorta weak. Gyarados on level 58 is tough, but you'll manage. Level 60 Aerodactyl? *gulp* It gets worse Level 62 Dragonite. Hope that it uses Agility, just hope. He'll get a nice 7.

Gary: You've traveled the entire world, searching for Pokémon to become the world's best master. You've defeat the 8 gym leaders, and the Elite Four. Now, you have one last challenge. You're very own rival from Pallet. He is a complete wimp!! I don't see how freaking possible it is for this loser to have beaten the Elite Four!!! I had only three Pokémon not fainted, two of which around half life, and I beat him easy. He's a varied trainer. Level 61 Pidgeot is easy. Level 59 Alakazaam is easy. Level 61 is easy. Here's where the fun begins: If you chose Charmander in the beginning, he has a level 61 Arcanine, level 63 Exeggcutor, and level 65 Blastoise, none of which are too hard, except maybe the Blastoise. If you chose Squirtle, he's got a level 61 Gyarados, level 63 Arcanine, and a level 65 Venusaur. Your only problem may be the Gyarados. The Venusaur is easy. If you chose Venusaur, you'll have a tough time against his level 65 Charizard, but his level 63 Exeggcutor and level 61 Gyarados are easy. He gets a 2 in challenge, because he is easy.
