Final Fantasy 3 Relics


Equipment ain't enough? Fine!

Each character can equip two relics. All items that are hard to find have their locations next to them.

Kupo! Gotta love Moogles ^^

Amulet: All can equip this. Protects against Poison, Dark, and Zombie. A nice little Amulet. Although the protection from Dark isn't useful, Poison resistance is good, and no one wants to be a Zombie. Perfect for Daryl's Tomb.

Atlas Amulet: All can equip this. Increases fight damage. Eh, boring.

Back Guard: All can equip this. Protects against Pincer and Back attacks. Pretty useful, it makes sure you're not caught off guard.

Barrier Ring: All can equip this. Casts 'Shell' when HP is low. Not bad, since it also increases Magic power. This has saved me at least.. ^^() 0 times. But still, if you can heal him/her in time, he/she keeps shell through the whole battle.

Beads: Found in Doma Castle. All can equip this. Evades attacks randomly. I guess not bad, but later on, most attacks are magical, so this is useless.

Black Belt: All can equip this. 85% of Counter-attack. I like this, and I usually give it to Cyan.

Blizzard Orb: Found in the underground castle (under Figaro castle). Umaro can equip this. Umaro uses a random "Blizzard" attack. I LOVE this! Although it can be a hassle, since he'll use it randomly and it may heal an ice type monster, it hits all enemies and is pretty powerful!

Charm Bangle: Bet the Moogle Charm at the Colleseum. Also try being GREAT at the feast in Vector by talking to lots of guards and saying the right things. All can equip this. Encounter less enemies. Not bad, I guess, but you sorta need the XP..

Cherub Down: All can equip this. Automatic 'float' in battle. Useless, usually, although AWESOME when facing the Earth dragon.

Coin Toss: Found on the way to the Esper World. Setzer can equip this. Turns Slot into GP rain. AWFUL!!! It does a lot of damage, but drains from your money total!! Maybe it's not bad near the end of the game.. it may help against the statues.

Crystal Orb: All can equip this. Raises MP by 1/2. Not bad, especially good for Strago, who's Lores seem to take a ton of MP. If you have an economizer, this is practically useless.

Cure Ring: All can equip this. Automatic 'regen' in battle. This is pretty cool, it can save you healing if you're lucky.

Czarina Ring: Terra, Celes, and Relm can equip this. Casts Safe, Shell when HP is low. This is like the Mithril Glove and Barrier Ring combined! Yay!

DragoonBoots: All can equip this. Turns Fight into Jump. Worthless on Gau and Umaro, and Gogo if it doesn't have Fight as a command. I don't really like this attack.

Dragon Horn: Found in the Phoenix Cave. All can equip this. Makes Jump continuous. Don't even BOTHER with this unless ya love the DragoonBoots. :P

Earrings: All can equip this. Increases magic damage. This is even MORE useful if you use two (though I don't advise it). It's great on Terra and Celes in the beginning, but later on, you'll replace it for better things.

Economizer: Fight Brachiosaurs, or bet a Gem Box. All can equip this. All magical attacks cost 1 MP. This thing RUKES!!!!! Pair it with a Gem Box for the most fun you've had in a LONG time.

Exp. Egg: This is found hidden in Daryl's Tomb. All can equip this. It double all XP received.. WOW!

Fairy Ring: All can equip this. Protects again Poison and Dark. Nothing at all special.

Fake Moustache: This is found in Gogo's Cave, after being swallowed alive by ZoneEaters. Relm can equip this. This RUKES! You, unfortunetly, lose the Sketch ability, but learn CONTROL, where you take over a monster and make it attack for you! It's awesome.

Gale Hairpin: All can equip this. Raises your chances of Striking First, or rather, the "Preempitive". Nice!

I'm so cool!

Gauntlet: All but Gau and Umaro can equip this. Wield a weapon with two hands. Raises defense a tiny bit, but nothing special. No better than the Genji Glove, probably WORSE.

Gem Box: Found at the Magimaster's Tower. All can equip this. Turns Magic into X-Magic, so you can attack using Magic twice per turn. Great when used with the Economizer.. imagine using Cure 3 and Ultima once per turn for 2 MP!

Genji Glove: All can equip this. This thing kicks BUTT!! Equip TWO weapons! GREAT with Locke, who's usually my 'attacker' of the group. ThiefGlove and Genji Glove work great-capture twice! What I like to do is give him the Genji Glove and the Offering, and watch the fun prevail!

Goggles: All can equip this. Protects again Dark. This stinks. I never even knew what Dark DID! I still hit 100% everytime.

Gold Hairpin: Get on the Narshe Mountaintop by deciding between Mog and it. This thing is good.. MP costs are halved. Still, this isn't as good as an Economizer..

Guard Ring: All can equip this. Casts Safe when HP is low. Not bad, but later on, your HP rarely IS low. You know your HP is low if your character is squatting, BTW.

Hyper Wrist: All can equip this. Increases Vigor. I like this relic although I have NO CLUE what Vigor does! Yay!

Hero Ring: Bought at the Jidoor Auctions.All can equip this. Increases Fight and Magic power. Nice for Terra and Celes, who usually are pretty half-and-half when it comes to Fighting and Magicing. Most others use their special skills like Blitz or Tools.

Jewel Ring: All can equip this. Protects against Dark and Petrify. Again, nothing special, although it might help about the Dream Stooges.

Marvel Shoes: Bet the Rename Card. All can equip this. Casts Haste, Regen, Shell, and Safe. This is INCREDIBLE!!! But extremely hard to get. Bet an Elixer for the Rename Card, and fight a HARD enemy. GOOD LUCK.

Memento Ring: Shadow and Relm can equip this. Protects against Fatal Attacks. Uh.. not BAD?

Merit Award: All can equip this. I'm not SURE what it does. I think it allows people to equip all armor or something? In which case, it's good.. but.. uh, I dunno.

Mithril Glove: All can equip this. Casts Safe when HP is low. Not bad, but useless later on when most enemies use magic, and it's rare you're weakened anyway.. you're either dead or have lots of HP left.

Moogle Charm: In the World of Ruin, it's found in the wall right where Mog was standing. Mog can equip this. Makes you get attacked by NO ENEMIES (well, doesn't work on the overworld map, but, eh.). It rukes! Use it for traveling up the Magimaster's tower.

Muscle Belt: Found in Kefka's Tower. All can equip this. Increases HP Max by 50%. NICE! This can really add a ton of HP. Mwa ha!

Offering: Found in the underground castle, under Figaro. All can equip this. Turns Fight into X-fight, so you can ATTACK 4 times. THIS. THING. RUKES. It's like an auto quadra slice for fight. Use it with the Genji Glove. MWA HA HA!

Peace Ring: All can equip this. Protects from Berserk and Muddle. Well, not BAD, but not incredible.

Pod Bracelet: All can equip this. Casts Safe and Shell. A good relic, definetly.

Rage Ring: Umaro can equip this. Throw a party member or Umaro's self. Also gives him resistance to lightning, and HP is absorbed from Fire. DEFINETLY worth it!! It greatly increases his attack, and gives him some Vigor, too.

Relic Ring: All can equip this. Makes user undead. This protects against Doom and attacks that absorb your health, but there's a big problem-if you cast Cure on that person, he or she will LOSE HP. *NOT* good. I don't like this.

Ribbon: All can equip this. Protects against all Status ailments besides Wounded and Condemned. A GREAT item, and very rare. I like it. ^^

RunningShoes: All can equip this. Auto-casts haste. I love this to pieces. Definetly best for Sabin, Edgar, and Mog, IMHO.

Safety Bit: All can equip this. Protects against fatal attacks. No, this does NOT mean you're invinsible! Attacks like Doom, X-zone, etc. have no affect. Not bad.

Sneak Ring: Locke can equip this. Increases success rate of Steal. I tried it, it barely helped. Does add a little speed, though.

Everybody conga!

Sniper Sight: All can equip this. Insures 100% Hit rate. Perhaps the worst relic. Don't bother with this loser.

Sprint Shoes: All can equip this. Walk at double speed (not including overworld). This doesn't help at ALL in battle, but it's one of my favorite relics. SUCH a time saver. At least one person has to have this equipped. I don't have patience for that slow walk. ^^

Star Pendant: All can equip this. Protects against Poison. Boring. Very boring.

Thief Glove: Found at the top of the Cafe in Zozo. Locke can equip this. Changes Steal into Capture. Capture is JUST like Steal, except Locke HITS the enemy, too. The only drawback is that the enemy, if it was asleep or confused, isn't anymore, which isn't that bad. Use a Genji Glove and Thief Glove for two hits to an enemy, PLUS get to steal twice. Life is good.

Tintinabar: All can equip this. Recover HP with every step. Um, not really as good as it SHOULD be.

True Knight: All can equip this. Protect a member who is weakened (squatting) from Physical attacks. Nice in the beginning, useless later on.

Wall Ring: All can equip this. Auto casts Rflect. Nice, but doesn't allow healing except for out of battle. Also, many attacks can't be Rflected like Merton and Ultima.

White Cape: All can equip this. Protects against Imp & Mute. Also adds a little evade. Not bad, not good. Nyah.

Zephyr Cape: All can equip this. Increases Defense and dodges random attack. Also adds a little Magic Evade. For whatever reason, I like this relic.

Final Fantasy 3 stuff, here we come!
