Tech list for Chrono Trigger

Single, Double, and Triple, with rock techs, too!

Hmm, well, at least this list didn't take as long as the Secret of Mana monster list!

<bgsound src="cttheme.mid" loop=infinite>

A * indicates Magic!

Techs for

Cyclone: 2 MP: This attack hits enemies too close together, for I have figured about 1/8 stronger, too.

Slash: 2 MP: This attack hits all enemies in a line, but can also beat enemies who cannot be hurt by physical attacks. Use this to neutralize the Masa+Mune fused together's Tornado Energy.

Lightning*: 2 MP: First magic you learn. It makes dinosaur enemies have a puny defense!

Spincut: 4 MP: This is just like a critical hit.

Lightning 2*: 8 MP: Just like Lightning, but about 1/8 stronger, and it hits all enemies on the screen. Perfect for when there are two dinosaur enemies, too!

Life*: 10 MP: Pretty useless, but if someones dead, use this, about 250 HP is recovered.

Confuse: 12 MP: Ah, yes, yes, yes! This attack may not seem like much, but it is. It's equal to 4 attacks, or two critical hits. Against the first form of Lavos on a good level, you can get about 3,000 HP of damage.

Luminare*: 20 MP: Fun at first but way too expensive. By the time you have this Confuse and regular attacks will be all you need. It does look cool though, using a really strong green lightning bubble on all enemies.

Techs for

Aura: 1 MP: Marle's basic cure. Use this to recover what you can't from Cure, or when an enemy does a weak attack on you.

Provoke: 1 MP: Very cute attack, when Marle....."practically jokes" an enemy by tapping her side ("side" is close enough), confusing the enemy.

Ice*: 2 MP: Major damage on Fire enemies, please don't use this too much, by the end of the game you'll be sick of using it, being Marle's only 1 enemy attacking tech.

Cure*: 2 MP: About time you got to the good stuff! This Cure usually refills all or a high, high percentage of my HP.

Haste*: 6 MP: Very, very useful. Use it on Marle first to double her speed, so you can use Haste on all the other characters quicker.

Ice 2*: 8 MP: Not too useful, but it's something. It's a HUGE chunk of Ice crushing all enemies. Hits about 1/8 stronger than Ice.

Cure 2*: 5 MP: Boy, she doesn't have any that aren't magic, huh? This is probably the most useless attack, seeing how Cure does nearly the same for less than half.

Life 2*: 15 MP: Tres useful. Bring a fallen one back to life with full HP!

Techs for

Flame Toss: 1 MP: Chuck a row of fire, use it to your advantage by targeting on an enemy that is in a line with Lucca, and theres an/some enemy/enemies between the two.

Hypno Wave: 1 MP: Wow, for someone who's inventions rarely work, her brain power is strong enough to put enemies to sleep. Of course, how can you put enemies to sleep if you don't have any special machines?

Fire*: 2 MP: Much stronger than Flame Toss but doesn't hit in a line.

Napalm: 3 MP: A really, really, really cool bomb. It hits in the same manner as 's cyclone, but stronger.

Protect*: 6 MP: The first of Lucca's techs that has little use.

Fire 2*: 8 MP: A fire attack that hits all. Yet again about 1/8 stronger.

Mega Bomb: 15 MP: She uses that brain power to make huge bombs? All well, it's an attacks thats much stronger than Napalm.

Flare*: 20 MP: Don't go screaming and shutting off the game when you see the first few seconds of this spell. Starting out small and ending up huge, it's a neat fire attack.

Techs for

Slurp: 1 MP: A convenient little cure.

Slurp Cut: 2 MP: A convenient little snag, drag, and bag.

Water*: 2 MP: A convenient little..bubble? Really scary. But useful, in how the mega cool attack Ice Water can't be without it.

Heal*: 2 MP: Really useful. It refils HP of everyone in the party.

Leap Slash: 4 MP: He flies through the air with the greatest of ease: and falls like an anvil, head first into the enemy.

Water 2*: 8 MP: A whole bunch of bubbles hitting all enemies about 1/8 stronger than Water (and looking remarkably like 's Dark Mist.

Cure 2*: 5 MP: Useful, but lying. It never refils all of my HP, just over half.

Frog Squash: 15 MP: The lower your HP, the higher the damage. In MY book it states, the lower the HP, the less time you should take dropping frogs on people and the more you should cure!

Techs for , the really cool robot who is for some reason always overlooked

Rocket Punch: 1 MP: Not a bad attack. It's about a half stronger than the regular attack.

Cure Beam: 2 MP: A somewhat useful in the early stages of the game.

Laser Spin: 3 MP: An average attack. Useful in the fact it uses so little MP for a hit all enemy attack. Shadow magic is neat.

Robo Tackle: 4 MP: A somewhat strong attack, equal to a critical hit.

Heal Beam: 3 MP: CHA-CHING! Here's where the game gets fun, this cure ups everyone's HP!

Uzzi Punch: 12 MP: Most useful attack, incredibly strong punch.

Area Bomb: 14 MP: Practically useless, enemies usually aren't even near enough to you for you to execute this attack thats hits enemies near you.

Shock: 17 MP: Pretty useful (and MP pricey), but hard to get. It took me 3 Game +s to get! Is it a lightning or Shadow attack??

Techs for

Kiss: 1 MP: Weird but useful. Low HP filling cure.

Rollo Kick: 2 MP: What, this is a tech? You'll use it so little you'll hardly notice it there. ;)

Cat Attack: 3 MP: A better attack, she claws the front and gnaws the back. What is with that??

Rock Throw: 4 MP: Only a little useful, but crucial: you need this tech to preform Marle's Double Techs Ice Toss and Cube Toss, probably the most useful double techs! Plus, hurling enemies into the sky is fun.

Charm: 4 MP: Not a bad attack, it steals an enemies weapon, some of the time.

Tail Spin: 10 MP: I didn't like this one, it was like Robo's Area bomb, you gotta be near the dude!

Dino Tail: 15 MP: Like Frog's Frog Squash, lower HP=Greater damage.

Triple Kick: 20 MP: Very good attack, but not worth the MP. Tied to many triple techs, though.

Techs for the ever cool, ever evil

Note: Magus goes the best with the Gold Earring! Can you imagine Ice 2, Fire 2, and Lightning 2 for only 2 MP? Try Dark Matter for only 5!!

Lightning 2*: 8 MP: Just like 's.

Fire 2*: 8 MP: Just like 's.

Ice 2*: 8 MP: Just like 's.

Dark Bomb*: 8 MP: Pretty cool attack, it hits one enemies and all enemies near it. Very strong.

Magic Wall*: 8 MP: Really worth it, it makes a little shield that stops magic attacks by 1/3!

Dark Mist*: 10 MP: You won't use it enough to notice it. It looks like 's Water 2.

Black Hole*: 15 MP: A kinda useful attack that looks tres cool! He sucks in an enemy into a black hole (they have to be near him, but it's a bigger radius than 's Tail Spin and 's Area Bomb) that kills them instantly. Half and half percent on working.

Dark Matter*: 20 MP: Really cool 3D Shadow attack!

Now, da fun part! Double techs!

and techs

Aura Whirl: =2 MP =1 MP: This pretty useful attack cures everyone in the group. You'll need Cyclone and Aura.

Ice Sword: =4 MP, =2 MP: This is a pretty cool attack, but not many enemies are weak against it. It combines Spincut with Ice.

Ice Sword 2: =12 MP =8 MP: Really cool attack combing Confuse with Ice 2.

and techs

Fire Whirl: =2 MP =1 MP: A semi- useful attack, good in the first factory of 2,300 A.D. You'll need the first two techs, Flame Toss and Cyclone.

Flame Sword: =4 MP =2 MP: It's a pretty good attack, but I prefer Marle's Ice Sword. You will need Spincut and Fire.

Fire Sword 2: =12 MP =8 MP: Looks dumb, is dumb. You'll need Confuse with Fire 2, but it's nowhere near as good as Ice Sword 2.

and Techs

X-Strike: =2 MP =2 MP: A pretty useful attack through the game, less useful in the end but very useful in the beginning. It needs Slurp Cut and Cyclone.

Sword Stream: =4 MP =2 MP: An attack that is incredibly near worthless. You won't even know it's there. If you for some reason WANT to use it, it requires Crono's spincut and Frog's Water.

Spire: =8 MP =4 MP: More useful than the Sword Stream, but you won't use it much.

and techs

Rocket Roll: =2 MP =3 MP: The worst attack ever. I hate this tech, because it requires Crono's Cyclone and Robo's Laser Spin, but it does about half as much damage as the Laser Spin, not very good for wasting 2 MP for Crono and Crono's turn.

Max Cyclone: =4 MP =3: A cool attack, but you won't use it often, 'cuz the enemy has to be near you. It requires, for some reason, Crono's Spincut and Robo's Laser Spin are needed. Weird combos.

Super Volt: =8 MP =17 MP: It requires Lightning 2 and Shock, but it rukes! But it's hard to get Robo's Shock.

and techs

Drill Kick: =2 =2: Not too useful. Requires Rollo Kick (?) and Cyclone.

Volt Bite: =2 =3: More useful, not a bad attack. You gotta have Lightning and Cat Attack.

Falcon Hit: =4 =4: Here's the tech we've been waitin' for! It needs Spincut and Rock Throw.

and techs

Antipode: =2 =2: Pretty useful, but the Ice Sword and Fire Swords so more damage, but enemies weak against fire and weak against ice will both be hit against their weak point, so...

Antipode 2: =8 =8: Not bad, it's an ice and fire attack, it affects, like, a "group of enemies".

Antipode 3: =8 =20: By the time you get this, you have a million better double techs. Use 'em, unless there's a huge group of enemies, in which case this fire and ice attack will hit every enemy on the screen.

and

Ice Water: =2 =2: This double tech is the BEST for destroying the monsters at the beginning of Magus's castle. The ice and water rain gets less useful later on in the game, however.

Glacier: =8 =8: Ignore this ice glacier attack. It's rather useless.

Double Cure: =5 =5: Very VERY useful attack, curing everyone in your parties' HP to full.

and techs

Aura Beam: =2 =2: Just like Aura Whirl.

Ice Tackle: =2 =4: Nice ice attack, good against enemies but not against bosses.

Cure Touch: 5 =3: Nice, low cost attack resembling Double Cure with and .

and techs

Twin Charm: =1 =4: More of a chance of enemy getting charmed. Not very useful at ALL, but Marle's cute when she giggles ;)

Ice Toss: =2 =4: Very useful, but is replaced by Cube Toss later on.

Cube Toss: =8 =4: Absoulutely one of the best Double Techs. Chucking a glacier onto the enemy is STRONG!

and techs

Blade Toss: =2 =3 :Robo throws Frog at an enemy. Nice, low cost spell.

Bubble Snap: =2 =4: Frog lifts Robo in a bubble and drops him on the enemy. Pretty powerful, better than Blade Toss.

Cure Wave: =5 =3: Cure everyone in the group with lots of HP. Very useful, and not too high cost either.

and techs

Spin Kick: =4 =2: PoW!

Boogie: =4 =4: Stops enemies. Incredibly bad attack. :)

Beast Toss: =12 =4: Hurl an enemy around! I like this attack.

Triple techs (alphabetical order)

3D attack: =1 =2 =20: A real sap of Ayla's MP, but it's a pretty cool spell if you don't need to heal.

Arc Impulse: =1 =8 =4: Super Ice Slash, very flashy and cool attack.

Dark Eternal: Requires person equipped with Black Rock: =8 =8 =20: Super mega dark bomb, but a real drain of Magus' much needed MP.

Delta Force: =8 =8 =8: Summons a triangle-delta-wall to bring severe pain to the enemy. Best on non-elementals.

Delta Storm: =8 =8 =8: Awesome 3-d lightning-water-fire attack.

Final Kick: =2 =8 =20: Good attack, unless you need Ayla's techs, which I *doubt* :P

Fire Zone: =2 =8 =3: One of your first triple techs.

Gatlingkick: =2 =8 =20: Fire version of the Final Kick.

Grand Dream: Requires Frog with Gold Rock:=15 =15 =3: Only Robo lucks out here, 'cuz to everyone else, it's high MP for a medium attack. To get it, make that bird guy throw a rock at you, and grab it with Frog in the lead of your party.

Omega Flare: Requires someone with Blue Rock: =3 =20 =8: Mega cool lazer ^_^

Poyozo Dance: Requires someone with White Rock: =1 =1 =10: I LOVE THIS ATTACK!!!!!! It makes me dizzy, and it's so flashy, even if it is kind of weak.

Spin Strike: Requires someone with Silver Rock:=4 =4 =10: Whirl Cut Jump that looks very groovy!

Triple Raid: =2 =4 =2: Cool attack. Crono and Frog do X-Strike and Robo throws in a tackle.

Twister: =2 =3 =10: Must be dizzy for the three, but if you have these three (declared attack-wise strongest in the game), then you should consider this attack.

^_^ I'm so annoying, eh? I don't want to include a link back to the Chrono Trigger section so just hit the back button, 'kay?
