There are two discs in this game : This page is to describe to basic moves, motions and combo for the two versions, if there are differences between versions, i put it in a note.

Base Game System :

Directions or Directions for first player side : Guard
In Evolution Disk, the guard is automatic

Defend System :

Recovery from the air :

When you are falling down, then instead of falling on the ground, you can recover yourself to be on your feet or input a move.

What to do :

Push at the same time 2 buttons or a button and a direction.
Ex : + or
Throw Counter pix

Escape from Throw :

When the opponent does a throw to you, you can escape to avoid being hurt. Just do a throw at the same time.

What to do :

Push at the same time you're thrown.

Tardy Counter pix

Counter move :

Do a move, special move and super move when you guard an opponent attack to perform a counter move. You can do it in the air.
You see some polygons and hear a sound when done : Tardy Counter pix

Ligthning Counter pix

Lithning counter hit :

Do a move, special move and super move, if your opponent attacks you at the same time, the two hits will counter. You will see the ligthning appear between you and the opponent. You can do it in the air. You can only counter the first hit of a combo.

Super System :

Super Bar Meter pix

Super Bar Meter :

When you hit your opponent, you are blocking hits or your opponent hits you, your super meter is increase. You can too, increase it when you taunt (with "select" button).

You need 2 super bars for a Team Up Technique (TUT), when you can do it, the head of your parner appears in your super bar meter.

And you can have a max of 9 super bars.

Team Up Technique (TUT) :

Hit or to do a team up technique, then your partner comes to do a special move with you.

The move depends on partner you have with you, so each character has his own team up technique.
Go to "Pictures Section" to have some examples.

Burning Vigor pix

Burning Vigor (BV) :

Each character has 2, 3 or 4 burning vigor moves and it takes 1 super bar.
Go to "Move Section" of each characters to have the motion for the burning vigor moves.
Note : In "Evolution Disc", some burning vigor are replaced by another, see the moves lists.

Here is the base of the combo system in this game.
The 2 first hits are 2 "Light Attack", so : LPLP or LKLK or LPLK or LKLP
Note : In "Evolution Disc", you can't do LKLP or LPLK.
Note 2 : The fourth hit can be an air combo starter (see below).

Air Combo Starter pix

Air Combo Starter :

Each character has 2 air combo starter moves.
One that launch your opponent in the air, then hold "up", and combo him, and one that just force opponent to make a small jump.
Go to "Move Section" of each characters to have the motion for the air combo starter moves.
Ex : for "Batsu", the air combo starter is : Direction + HP then HP
