I really like the style of Rush, their sound is unmistakable and their lyrics are top notch. It wasn't until recently that Geddy Lee's vocals started to annoy me. From what I've heard that's most people's complaint about Rush; its lead vocals. What I like about their music is that it has a sci-fi feel to it. The subjects of many of their songs seem to be drawn from fantasy, which it inspires in the listener as well. There's nothing overly special about Hold Your Fire, but 2112 is a masterpiece. The title song of twenty and a half minutes is gentle and powerful, invigorating and inspirational at the same time. It is truly a musical masterpiece by my standards.
