These images are of miniatures from a different army, the Eldar. Because of the history of the game company that developed the game world and miniatures, these are "Space Elves", but I tend to think of them as an advanced alien civilization, and nothing more. The specialties of the Eldar army are speed, grav vehicles (really helps when terrain migh hinder other armies--these fly over rivers and chasms and such), and a combination of some close range firepower and some long range heavy hitters.

These pictures show up as glossier than they really are. I do use a glossy sealer spray to protect the minis, but they aren't nearly as shiny as they appear here.

Doomweavers and Prism Cannons

Falcons : Hover tanks. Sorry, they're out of focus. They look a bit better than they appear to here, in my opinion.

Dreadnaughts : These are medium-sized walking machines. Sorta. I've changed the positions of one of the guns and one of the hands.

Eldar infantry : Wraithguard and Swooping Hawks.

More Eldar infantry : Guardians (yellow, blue helmets) and two varieties of Aspect Warriors (blue with yellow helmets).

Scout Titan : This is actually a Battletech Marauder, but I think it has the advanced techology feel, and the right amount of gracefulness to fit with the rest of the Eldar stuff. I'm calling it the same as a Revenant Titan.

Here are some more pictures I've done recently. I don't think they look as messy in person as they do on camera, but I do like to use washes for shading.

Command Falcon and another

Old Falcons: The bright one was painted by my friend Gary Root. The dingy ones by me.

Night Spinner

Two War Walkers

Two Wave Serpents: Again, I think these look less messy and much better in Real Life.
