I am not an artist, though I occasionally try. I have yet to produce something in Photoshop® or on paper that is simply art, interestingly enough. All my works thus far have had un raison d'être. Take, for example, my WinAmp skins. They serve a purpose, which is to function as a useable interface for a music player. How about a desktop wallpaper? I suppose this can be considered art, as it really only acts as decoration. The majority of wallpapers I create though, are usually created with the thought that "I need something to put on my desktop," not, "this picture is pretty. I will make it into a desktop." I always appreciate comments, either positive or not, so long as they justified.
