Well, it's been over a year since this page was updated and I had some friends convinced we were no longer in the land of the living, so I suppose it's time for an update.

John and I have moved from New Orleans to Dallas, TX where we are missing Cajun food but loving the cleanliness and lower crime rate.

Steph's family is from Texas, San Antonio and Austin specifically. Her mom and ex-dog live in the house she grew up in, and her father and his wife run a motel/gameroom on the north side of San Antonio. Her dad is a doctor at one of the many military hospitals. Brother and sister, Andrew and Meredith, live in Austin. Andrew is beginning his senior year (gasp!) at the University of Texas by spending a semester in England this fall. We're not jealous -at all-, yeah right.

John's family is spread all over Canada. His mother and father live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where his dad is in the Canadian military. Their main project lately has been the renovation of a house with a wonderful view of the harbor. John's sister, Rosemary, her husband James and baby girl, Holly, live in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Steph has a new job working at Michaels Stores Inc., in their corporate advertising department. John is working at Rural/Metro Ambulance in the billing department. All in all we're happy with our move, but it's hard to get used to suburbia again after living in a place like New Orleans. We're sure, however, that the calmer life will grow on us. No more shootings down the street, anyway.
