Star 1: Board Bowser’s Sub
From where you enter the course (in the water) swim downwards, then towards the wall. Stay
far away from the whirlpool and try to avoid the fish and the sharks. Head toward the whole in the
wall and swim through the tunnel. When you come out on the other side you will see Bowser’s Sub.
Go onto the ledge on the other side of the water and step on the Purple Switch. Climb up the staircase
that appears in front of you and go on top of the Sub. The Star is right there waiting for you!
After you get this Star, you will be able to access Bowser in the Fire Sea.
After you beat that, the Sub will be gone, and a network of moving poles will be on the ceiling
so you can attempt the 8 Red Coins (see Star 3).

Star 2: Chests in the Current
In the cavern where you enter the course, you will see four Treasure Chests. Open them in this order:
1) The Chest with 2 rows of coins coming up;
2) The one on its right, a little bit forward;
3) The third chest in the outer triangle;
4) The chest right next to the whirlpool.
The Star will appear right next to the Whirlpool. Be very careful!
If you get sucked in, you will have to start over!

Star 3: Pole-Jumping for 8 Red Coins
(Required: Beat Bowser in the Fire Sea)
Step on the Purple Switch that you stepped on to get Star 1. Instead of climbing up the stairs
that appear in front of you, go to the staircase that’s farther away. Go up the stairs before time runs out.
Get the First Red Coin. Jump on the pole to your left and move up and down to get the next 3 Red Coins.
Remain on the pole until it returns to the platform. Get on the other pole when it comes to the platform.
Jump to the next pole. The next pole leads you to two more coins. The 7th Red Coin
is on the other side of the big red grating. Hang on to the pole, and as it lines up with
the pole on the other side of the grate. For the 8th Red Coin, start back at the beginning
and follow the poles to the Blue Coin Switch. The 8th Red Coin will be waiting for you!
Star: Right where you get the 1st Red Coin.

Star 4: Through the Jet Stream
(Required: Metal Cap)
Make your way to the cavern where you found Bowser’s Sub and the Red Coins.
On the bottom of the lake there is a grating with bubbles coming out of it, like in Course 3.
You will see Bubble rings coming out from it. Position yourself above the grate so that you
pass through 5 rings. You will hear a tone, and the Star will appear below you.
To get the Star, don the Metal Cap and sink down into the Lake.
Walk to the Jet Stream and receive your prize!

Star 5: The Manta Ray’s Reward
(Required: Some skill in swimming)
When you enter the Course, swim around until you see the Manta Ray.
Bubble rings are coming out of its tail. Swim through 5 of them. You will know if you swam
through them if the numbers 1 through 5 come out of them. The Star will appear above the whirlpool.

Star 6: Collect the Caps...
(Required: Vanish Cap)
Go to the Cavern where you found the Sub. You will see a caged Star on the sea floor.
Go to the platform and don the Vanish Cap. (You also might want to use the Metal Cap
so you can see yourself underwater.) Just swim through the cage while the Vanish Cap is still
active and grab the Star!
(Warning: If you do not want to get the Star now for whatever reason,
get out of the Cage before the Vanish Cap runs out!)

Star 7: Pound the Switch for 100 Coins
(Required: Beat Bowser in the Fire Sea)
This is one of the hardest Stars in the game. Get the Coins from the cavern
where you enter the course first. Beware of the whirlpool! You must literally get
every single coin you see in order to get the Star. This includes the 8 Red Coins (=16 Yellow Coins)
and every Blue Coin from the switch (=30 Yellow Coins). When getting the coins next to the gigantic
square hole in the wall, tap the A Button constantly to prevent yourself from being sucked
out of the course, if that happens you will end up in the moat outside the castle!
The Star appears above when you have gotten the 100th coin.
