The Emporer is gratitude allowed Fusagi to create a minor clan, which he did calling it the Raven clan. He invited a Shugenja he had servered with, and was good friends with to join him.

The next 35 years were not so good for the Raven. Hard times, bad crops, a ratling invasion and trouble with his neighbors kept him as one of the most minor of the Minor clans.

Soon Fusagi's children had children. Fusgai's youngest daughter, a Samurai-ko name Hiroko played with the children, and saw a great potential in them. She convinced her elder brother, now Daimyo of the clan to undertake an ambitious plan.

They would bankrupt the clan, call in every favor owed them, undertake new obligations, all to provide the very finest education for the children. The Children could then rescue the clan from obscurity, and The Raven Clan and Rimoshi and Daihini family legacies would be ensured. These children are now undergoing their Gempukko Ceromonies in a joint effort with the Crane clan during the Festival of the Topaz Championship. Rimoshi Goiko won the Festival of the Topaz Chapion, he was victorious in the end over Hida Fujizaka and was awarded the Sword. This victory was not without it's price as Rimoshi Nakori was slain by Scorpion Treachery during the Egg hunt. His Twin, Kaneda survives him and has sworn vengence against Bayushi Sugai.

Goiko was approached during the testing by an agent of Akodo Toturi, who invited the Raven Clan to join them in thier planned summer campaign against the Crane, Goiko accpeted on behalf of his Father... Why would the mighty Lion need extra troops from a Minor Clan such as the Raven?

Daihini Boka, was approaced by his school mate, Hida Fujizaka, who offered to put 2 regiments of Crab soldiers under the command of the Raven during these wars. Crab wished to exrcise some troops against the Crane, but had no desire in Facing them under the banner of the Crab. This offer was also accepted. Raven owe the Crab aa smiliar service at a time of the Crab's choosing.

After the Championship, The Raven Clan youngsters followed a strange set of dreams to Akari Island in the Seas beyond the Phoenix Lands. This island, while Rokugani is not held by any clan. The Island was being held by a being who called himself the Necromancer. The Necromancer had bound the spirits of the Island, and was using them for an unholy purpose. By defeating A Ochimo or Spirit Warrior of each element, the brave members of Raven clan defeated the Necromancer, who unfortunatley escaped in the end. They freed the island and made a good impression on the people there.

Returning home, the members of Raven Clan were surprised when the Tiger Clan, a traditional rival of the Raven, offered the eldest daughter of the Daimyo as bride. With a Dowry of an entire District! Goiko accepted the marriage, though it virtually guarentees that the Raven will never gain the Governorship of thier Home province of the Willow. It also creates a powerful alliance, that guards the western frontier of the Raven and gives them stregth enough to look east and South in expansion plans...

Assembling 4 regiments (2 of thier own, and 2 of the Crab) Goiko and the Party march east to join Matsu Tsuko in her war against the Crane. Matsu Agetoki meets them and conveys orders from the Lion Warlord to march north into the Crane Lands and secure the Western Flank of her Army. the Raven Meet and face Daidoji Uji and his Army at the Battle of Swan Creek. The Battle is nearly a rout, as the Valor of the Raven soldiers combined with the skill of the Crab grab a key ford and hold it against the Crane and thier Unicorn allies.

After the Battle, Goiko gets into a bit of hot water when he exclaims that the Raven Clan soldiers are the equals of the Lions, a fact that one of Matsu Agetoki takes offense to. A duels eventually ensues, and Goiko is struck down. His Opponent, a Matsu Hojoke, is aplled at what he has done. he has struck down the leader of an Ally (however minor) of the Lion, and worse, has done so after witnessing the ferocity of which bothe the Raven soldiers fought and the Raven scion dueled. Hijoke bears Goiko's body directly to the Shugenja himself, and resigns his Commission with Agetoki. He has followed Goiko home and waits for an opportunity to redeem himself.

The Raven Clan heroes and thier army move ease to meet with the bulk of Matsu Tsuko's Forces. They are informed that the final battle for the province will take place at Crying Souls Lake. The Raven forces are used to anchor the Lion position on the Soutwest side of the lake while the Lion Heavy Infantry will anchor the Southeast. Agetoki and the Light Infantry will be used to pressure the Crane Armies to move around the lake to one of the Anchors. The Plan works, and Raven Clan takes the brunt of the Unicorn calvary charge, decimating a regiment of the feared Battle Maidens. Daihini Boka excles at his leadership and after his own unit is broken from contact with three different regiments, goes and takes over Zajiro's unit after he is knocked unconcious.

Rimoshi Zajiro is approached by Matsu Chokuko during the celebration after the battle, and asked to undertake a covert mission to attempt to retrieve a scroll stolen by the Hare Clan.
