His father has gone insane with grief of the Death of Nakori. After Kaneda refused, his Father has saught out and recovered one of the feared Iuchiban Blades, and has taken it up to gain vengence against the Bayushi Family, especially Bayushi Sugai, the young bushi directly responsible for his son's death. Kaneda is terrified of what his father is capable of with the Maho of the bloodsword, and is currectly seeking a way to defat his father. The Ancestral Sword of the Hare struck down Iuchiban himself, so what powers might it have over a wielder of a bloodsword?
Kaneda is a character in flux, and the GM and player both expect him to ret-con into a Scorpion school, this brings up interesting possibilities. Was his Twin's death a warning to young Kaneda? What is he involved with that the scorpion would warn hime thus? How to defeat his father without losing his place in the clan...
