Lunk Stonespeaker emerged within hours of Rutegur
Stonespeaker, an extremely rare occurence among Obsidimen.
Their lava-red eyes marked them as Stonespeakers, part
of a new order, so Lothar the Elder had decreed. They
were to be leaders with spirit and strength unlike any
other Obsidimen. Rutegur was impetuous to such extent
that Urthik and Lothar decided it was best that he learn
patience in semi-isolation watching over the upper
valley. Lunk was the less forceful of the two, and his
studies began immediately.
Lunk was a thoughtful pupil with the tendency to
be morose and sullen. He was both fascinated and apalled
by the accounts of the lesser beings in his favorite
subject, Histories. Finding himself supervised less and
less, he began to apply the principles he learned in his
texts when in contact with his fellow Obsidimen. Soon,
he had ingratiated himself to more than a few important
members of the community. Carefully swaying opinion, he
procured the loyalty of the elite tradesmen and guards.
With the decline of the spirtual elementalist order, Lunk
controlled the most powerful and influential divisions of
the community. The loss of Urthik, whose influence
had held him in check, allowed Lunk to become the
unquestioned leader of the Obsidimen of the Thunder
Mountains.
To this day, Lunk shrewdly guides the Obsidmen of the Thunder Mountains. Mindful of ever-increasing Theran presence, he seeks a way to preserve his land... and his power.
