CONVENTION
To be Announced

"Look at this area around us now," says Beorn the Orphan Maker almost in a state of stupefaction. "I have never seen anything like it in all my days" answers Lady Morgana in an almost dream-like state. "It's all so eerie and dark, even to my elven sight. "My celestial night vision too finds it hard to penetrate this irksome twilight" responds Beorn, still looking around trying to make sense of his new surroundings.
"I wonder how many others are here with us?" interjects Brother Egur the Breaker walking up to the group with as just an amazed expression. A falling star lights up the sky and explodes into millions of small beautiful lights. After seeing this colourfil display Beorn turns to Egur grimly. "Obviously not all of us". Wait says Morgana, eyes squinting still trying to adjust to the murky blackness. "I see others of us in the distance! Praise the Light! More of us are here!" exclaims Morgana excitedly. Suddenly her visage changes. "Black shapes! Black shapes everywhere! Our warriors are engaging them!"
The whole scene changes as lights and screams erupt everywhere. Morgana yells again "Black shapes heading towards us. These things are everywhere!" Beorn pulls his sword as the others do likewise. Warriors close from behind. Soon all that could be heard is the sounds of brave soldiers clashing with things far beyond their world or understanding. The cries die away revealing a victory, however a victory which comes at a great cost. The Commander rallies his surviving troops with orders to move on immediately. Beorn sees the troops are ready to move out. "Come now," says Beorn wiping his sword and with a calm determination in his voice, "We have a job to do". The eerie landscape is lit with strange lightning bolts amidst cries of pain and sometimes victory, which can only just be heard over the clashing of steel and loud electrical cracks. New sinister large shapes are seen on the horizon as troops spread out.
Bishop Carlmund is back at Quellburn. He is not the only one praying. "May the Lady of the Garden and the Great Light be with us all now in this most desperate of hours".
The Year is 6,050 Third Era. A few months after the liberation of Quellburn.
