Kdruk arbs Nekhaash and Gundhosh

THE RETURN OF KDRUK
Kdruk waves his hand and several others move from a large table. He motions for each of you to sit, then has another bring food and drink.

Gundhosh partakes of his food and drink and between bites motions an open hand to Nek. "Well, tell him. And quickly. Tell him of your treachery. Tell him how you sold da head of Yrukk for yer peace. Sure, da Morians would slay a Urdum, but once der was peace dey would lose da nerve to attack. Now ya have entered me inta a bargin Iz cannot keep, and if youz do den you have become a traitor ta da Dragon. Tell him." His eyes are angry, the fact the he is confident of Kdruk's sense of justice is all that keeps him from drawing his steel....

Nekhaash jumps from his seat, knocking the chair to the ground. He roars out "Dose terms are for an alliance wit' da Bear Clan, and Moria! Ye did not have to agree ta them... we would have carried out are end o' the bargain, an made it easier fer da Morians to accept peace wit da rest of you! You heard wot da troll said... when the cowardly wolf chief dat betrayed him an insulted us is gone, dere can be peace between the two kindoms, as well as wit da Bear! How dare ye call me a traitor!!!"

Kdruk eats a bit of bread, and drinks from his tankard. He looks at Nekhaash calmly. "Now, what of these words spoken by the Raven...." Kdruk places his tankard down. Kdruk says, "Put that before Neks pose..."

The hands forcing dents into the table edge are the only thing stopping Nek's trembling body from lunging across the table at Gundhosh. Kdruk moves his mailed left hand from the table and motions Nekhaash into his seat. "Bear...you are addressing a clan Chieftain and longtime friend of the Bear. Pray you keep that in your senses. Now sit." his voice does not rise beyond being firm.

Kdruk looks at the two, then speaks to Nekhaash. "This talk of the WOlf Chieftain Yrukk...if our words with him force us to do battle with the Wolf, then we will. But we will *not* trade his life for some favors from the northerners. Is that understood?"

Gundhosh growls, "Da Wolves are not da enemy. They have served Isengard faithfully a long while. You and your Bear mate have gone behind da back of an official delegate of da Black Dragon. If ya didn't know it, he did. So you'd rather have civil war den wit da maggots? If Iz call ya a traitor it'z cuz ya iz one." He turns to Kdruk, "the King desires dis peace, for you know dat I hold no love for them more then you. You must help us fix the mistakes. You were once Cheiftain of both Wolf and Bear. You know of their worth to Isengard. You alone can save this..." His black eyes plead with the old time friend.

Nekhaash carefully reaches behind him, and lift the chair back to it's place, and eases down into it. He mutters "Ah thought he was wise until he started bringin' up dose traitor insults..."

Kdruk eyes gundhosh in deep thought. "This peace...it is the will of the king?"

Gundhosh nods solemly. "Aye. He wants dis *misunderstanding*" he spits the word out like a rotten tooth, "laid to rest. With da Urdum, and da recent earthquakes that have begun to destroy Isengard, we do not need another foe." The albino shakes his head, clearly unhappy, but obeying, "Iz had things going in the right direction. Iz uncovered da Urdum leader as Ulogarum's right hand man. He would've destroyed him anywayz...." Nekhaash remains silent, mouth clenched tightly shut.

Kdruk pauses, leaning back in his chair. His right hand traces the rim of his tankard. A moment passes, and he takes the vessel to his lips, and drinks until it is nearly empty. As he sets the tankard back on the table, he looks first at Nekhaash, then at Gund. "We travel to Moria. There is much that need be remedied. And in the end, if the King wills it so, then there must also be peace. Come, we move!"

Nekhaash stands up. "Ai. Ye will see for yerself, Kdruk, jus' how much progress da Bear have made, an how little ta King's group has."

Gundhosh sighs thankfully, "You are as wise as ever Kdruk. That wisdom iz sorely missed." He smiles, his fangs showing. The eyes for the Uruk-hai wander to Kdruk's left arm and he smiles, "Fire and Steel would NOT gain *progress* for Isendrim lives..."

As he rises from his chair, the battle-hardened veteran finishes "And there will be no talk of deaths exchanged for deaths. The Urdum are the enemies of the Morians as well as enmies of Isengard. If they are foolish enough to let them live, we will deal with them on our own schedule. We will not trade one Isendrim life for one all of Moria..."

Gundhosh nods, "Aye, good. Den off ta Moria. Ya ready fer a run my friend?" He winks challangingly.

Kdruk removes the gauntlet from his left hand, rubbing the stub where his small finger should be. "And cursed be the dark ones that ride the winged beasts....they seem quite active in our mountains as of late." He returns the gauntlet to his left hand and pushes away from the table.

Gundhosh blinks, not knowing the full meaning of that statement.

Nekhaash sighs, and mutters something under his breath. "It's jus a wolf..". Louder, he says, "Den let us leave... it iz a long trip through da mountains." Nekhaash heads for the door.

Kdruk moves through he door. As he does, he barks to his personal sargent. "No need to come Guroch, this one will serve as my second." He points to Nekhaash, then moves out the door.

You leave the comfortable barrack to go outside.
