Potions, Powders and Potations
Potions (and similar items such as seals, magical dusts and
unguents) are often prepared by magicians so that a certain power is
readily accessible, or so that it can be given away, without the
permanent loss of power that crafting a magic item would require.
Thus these minor items are designed as Powers, usable by the creator
or one other person, which have single use triggered by drinking,
rubbing on a surface and so on. When activated, they either have a
short term or instantaneous effect. They are then gone, (the focus is
expended) until the lengthy process of making a new focus is
completed.
In the list below, some items are listed with a note (such as FHC92)
given in parentheses. This means the item in question is described in
a Hero Games publication. The publications in questions are:
FH = Fantasy Hero
FHC = Fantasy Hero Companion
FHCII = Fantasy Hero Companion 2
