Generic Chinese Guard
This character sheet represents the basic flunky-level guard and
the mass of common soldiers. Such soldiers are generally poorly armed
- a spear and a knife or a club depending on their station - and
armoured. They might have stout leather jerkin or quilted armour (DEF
1-3, locations 9-13) and a light helmet (DEF 4, locations 4-5) if
they are lucky. Their major function is to be cut down in droves by
heroic fighters. Unlike their Japanese counterparts, chinese soldiers
sometimes made use of shields - generally a small round affair (+1
DCV), but occasionally larger rectangular shields (+2 DCV).
