Arai Togai

Togai would have been head of the Arai clan, since he is the older of the two brothers. However, ever since childhood he has been argumentative and headstrong. At the age of 25, he was exiled for striking his father during a heated argument. The old Lord Arai never mentioned him again, conferring the leadership of the clan on Tetsuo. Although the brothers were close, Togai has never forgiven this. He feels he should have been clan head. During his exile he served as a samurai in the clan wars of the south, earning a reputation as a fearsome swordsman and an inspiring, if foolhardy leader.

Togai is both tall and broad of frame. He has a bristling beard, a red face and his clothing and hair are generally not as well cared for as one would expect of a samurai of his station
