More than meets the eye

Our First Quest of the Actual New Millenium!

This should be good!

To my knowledge, the fine details of this next quest have been worked out. Those things are only for the organizers of the quest to be known though. All I can say about this one is where it will be located, and what to expect.

This quest is tentatively scheduled for the first weekend of May. It will begin when most if not all of the group has arrived. Arrival should begin around 5:30 PM on that Friday. The location is at an undisclosed point in the woods near slippery rock creek.

The tentative schedule as it stands so far is as follows:

  1. Day One: Everyone should be gathered by 7:30 at the latest. We will be cooking dinner over the fire, what were eating is open to suggestion, most likely simple things such as hamburgers, soy burgers, hotdogs, etc. We will go over rules with everyone, and try to get into character a little bit. It's a night of anticipation for the carnage and fun of tomorrow.

  2. Day Two: Roughly a half an hour to an hour after sun rise, Breakfast will be cooking, and Most if not everyone will have assembled at sanctuary for their grub. After eating, and making sure everyone is ready, we begin.

    • Since the exact details of the quest are unavailable the nature of the quest and thus the major activities is difficult to surmise. But we do know that there will be many monsters and demons waiting to destroy us at the first chance and we shall only defeat them using out wit and out skills. There shall also be many treasures to be found.

  3. Day Three: The questing shall be wrapped up hopefully by lunch time, or shortly thereafter. The final portion of the questing experience is the Medieval style tournament in which all are allowed and encouraged to enter. The winner of the tourney shall receive the prize of the Battle Axe.

All of those planning on questing are required to bring with them the following:

  1. Money. The Organizers of this quest are going to be providing us with food and drink for the weekend. But their not buying it all themselves. Also, their is that grand prize the Battle Axe which one person will get to take home at the end of the weekend. That wasn't cheap.

  2. A tent. rain is possible, and without some cover, you probably won't enjoy the weekend as much.

    • Note: Making your own tent out of tarps & twine, or seran wrap & duct tape is also acceptable.

  3. Sleeping equipment. Be it heavy sleeping bags, or many thick blankets, be ready for cold. It's much easier to remove a blanket than make one appear from thin air.

  4. A character! We would like your Ideas for your character to be on paper for all to read, even if all aren't going to read it. It's easier to dispute exactly what your powers are as a Draconian Druidic-Necromancer if you have then down on paper.

    • Note: Your character should also be submitted to one of the Knights or to Lord ThornWolf himself before the day of the questing, do fine tune the abilities, and to make sure all that you want to be will actually be legal for questing.

  5. A sense of HUMOR. We're going to be doing silly things, and acting different than we normally do (most of us anyway), and hopefully most of us will even be in costume. Of course were going to look silly, lets have fun doing it! That's the idea anyway right?

The Money will probably be due before the actual questing event takes place, however, I don't know at the moment when that due date is. In any case, start saving for it now. If you want to bring extra food for yourself, that's alright. If you wanted to make your own armor or padded weapons that would be great.

I would suggest that you come with some weapon of your own, because the padded weapons are in need of repair, and the best of our stock will go fast. A shani is only $20 and is one of the best weapons in the woods. Just see a Knight or the Lord about getting one before the quest.
