Vigo Clezo has made his long-awaited move, and now has gulped down the Lion's Share of the remnants of Perit's organization and usurping the throne of Rodia with his personal puppet. The Rodian, seen by many before Xizor's death as unassuming, has shown his teeth and has extended his territory greatly in the chaos surrounding Xizor's death. He has the largest physical sphere of influence of any Vigo, largely due to his absorption of Perit's operations and his well-oiled plans, which seemed to erupt violently into a huge growth spurt almost immediately after the Underlord's demise. Many see him as the most likely to become the next Underlord of Black Sun.
Vigo Durga the Hutt is his old scheming self, pitting enemies against each other and reaping the rewards. He has more or less consolidated Besadii clan's power over the Hutt criminal empire and now is in control of a majority of Hutt Space criminal activity, especially with the death of his rival Jabba. He has most recently gotten his pudgy fingers into the quarrel between Vekker and Leana, egging both sides on from the sidelines in hopes that the two will weaken them sufficiently to allow takeover. He has hopes to become Underlord, but it is unlikely that the other Vigos would agree to allow such a dangerous foe to become their master.
Vigo Green is dead. In addition to a badly bungled and highly public attempted coup on Vigo Sprax, the weak and treacherous Vigo tried to double-cross Xizor, and was killed as an example to the others so they would not rebel. As it turned out, the lesson proved to be a moot point.
Vigo Kreet'ah has become the peacemaker of the Vigos, consistently calling all sides to the bargaining table to try and restore the balance of power. He is dismayed by the bloodshed caused by his feuding comrades, and wishes over all to return Black Sun to its former days of glory. His fellow Vigos are less than amused, however, and his organization has suffered markedly from his pacifist standpoint. However, he remains guardedly optimistic of the prospects of a Vigo reconciliation and the election of a new Underlord.
Vigo Lonay's organization was toppled and dismembered in a daring and highly successful raiding operation designed by Sprax. A combination of attacks on his lucrative slave trade, a special assassination force, and his own internal strife resulted in Lonay's ignominious capture by Sprax agents, the destruction of his priceless Mandalorian Dungeon Ship, the almost complete consumption of his operation by Sprax, and the rise of Vigo Moff Neomen over the remnants of his organization. He is, ironically, being held in chains in one of Sprax's dungeons, withering his life away like so many of his slave victims.
Vigo Perit's current whereabouts are unknown, and it is likely that he has been secretly assassinated, as he was sufficiently hated by the other Vigos for his closeness to Xizor. He attempted to make an alliance with Sprax soon after Xizor's death, but was rebuffed by the Nalroni. Soon afterward, he mysteriously disappeared from Galactic view, and a large power vacuum was left. Clezo stepped up and took nearly 85% of the Mon Cal's territory in almost no time at all, leading to speculation that the Rodian had planned it this way from the beginning. Other Vigos are still feuding over the remaining territory, leaving the lives of lesser people ruined in its wake.
Vigo Sprax has emerged as one of the leaders of the pack, along with Clezo and Durga. Though he has the smallest territory of the triad- encompassing much of the Rim and Periphery, from the Sisar Run to well past the Ryloth system- he has the most potential power of the three, with strong ties to the Rebellion (thanks to his logistical support in the Battle of Endor) and huge control of smuggling and shipping operations galaxywide. He is constantly in a running battle with Durga, whose territory he borders, though Durga's underhandedness and Sprax's cautious nature keeps this battle on a low profile. His single-handed defeat of Lonay gave him much prestige among the Vigos, though some of that has been squandered with his inability to make inroads into Wumdi's collapsing Corporate Sector and his frustrating inability to squash the upstart Vigo Moff Neomen, with whom he has a vicious rivalry.
Vigo Vekker, despite his strong experience in Black Sun, is the weakest of the old-guard Vigos. His reluctance to take action immediately following Xizor's fall prevented him from gaining an advantage in the dog-eat-dog world of post-Xizor Black Sun. Eventually, he realized that he could not remain stagnant and expect to survive, but when he finally did make a tentative move, Vigo Leana struck back heavily. He is currently in a losing battle with her, and is growing desperate, because he feels the eyes of the other Vigos turning from Perit and Lonay's gutted corpses and eyeing him hungrily. He knows his organization's life- and his own- is growing short.
Vigo Wumdi has changed from a slightly bubbleheaded hobnob into a paranoid and suspicious recluse. His cheerful and optimistic nature took a severe blow with Xizor's downfall, and the other Vigos quickly found Corporate Sector borders closed shut. While he still basks in wealth and social life, he is now ultra-paranoid of assasination attempts, and security is so tight around him that few even see him. He has closed himself in the sector, which is already foundering under the weight of Imperial occupation, disputation among the appointed Moff Greneir and the powerful neighboring Empire remnant called the Pentastar Alignment, and a string of slave revolts. Eventually, the sector is doomed to economic collapse, and with it Wumdi, still grasping on to the thinnest strings in desparate panic. In the meantime, however, it is extremely dangerous to be in the Corporate Sector with even any remote ties to Black Sun. Rival agents disappear with alarming speed, thanks to Wumdi's paranoia.
Vigo Leanna, a middle-aged human woman and former lieutenant of Green, has taken over that Vigo's shrinking territory, and has since expanded it somewhat to about the level of Green's inept days of leadership. Despite being a neophyte in the cadre of Vigos, she is headstrong, vocal, and very willing to get the job done when necessary. She is a definite Rebel sympathizer, which has simultaneously resulted in a tenuous alliance with Sprax and stern problems from the Empire. She is cosmopolitan and high-class, dealing mostly in luxury goods and designer drugs for the upper-class tastes (in addition to providing a connection for Rebel spies to infiltrate the usually Imperial upper class). Her organization is in the midst of a feud with Vekker, who is severely embarrassed at his inability to contain this seemingly untested newcomer. She is also CEO of Maeblon, a large cosmetics corporation operating out of the Mid-Rim.
Vigo "Moff" Neomen is the second and most recent of the "new" Vigos, stepping up to fill the vacuum left by Lonay's defeat. He has managed to salvage what little remained of the Twi'lek's organization, and has welded it into a surprisingly effective, if very limited, criminal force. Neomen was a thoroughly corrupt, inefficient and mentally unstable Moff, ousted simultaneously by COMPNOR and Vigo Sprax, the former for his crackpot schemes and wastes of money, and the latter when he attempted to infringe on Black Sun freedom in the Sisar Run. The now dangerously angry Moff left the Empire and joined Lonay's organization, which he helped subvert and turn to his own means. He has a strong vendetta against Sprax for his supposed downfall, and the two are waging a vicious war, one which Sprax has been unable to win due to the former Moff's unusually effective and tenacious methods. Neomen concentrates almost exclusively on bounty hunting, assassination, slavery and piracy, running his tiny sphere of influence with an iron fist. He is not officially recognized by any of the other Vigos, who regard him as a dangerous and psychotic usurper who will soon be crushed. In person, Neomen is the classic Megavillain: maniacal laughter, evil schemes and nasty cohorts.
