-----Rinda again misses one of the guards as she tries to club him. Garrison chops another guard down, but his second attack on a different opponent misses.
-----By this time Sol has brought Thunder to the other side of the wagons. Viciously, the Lathanian sword finds three more of the rushing guards and cuts them down.
-----Now, more of the guards seem to surge forward amid angry yells and cries of ambush. Both Rinda and Garrison seem to quickly have blood drawn upon them.
-----Just then, a wild cry goes up as three more riders storm into the fray. Strolum is seen first slowing his horse enough to swing at some of the guards approaching the wagons. The red-haired man’s sword slices the air but finds no targets.
-----With a fierce yell, Lovan then appears and from high atop his saddle brings his warhammer down upon a soldier’s head. The guard falls dead with his head split open. The storm priest quickly waves his hammer at another opponent but fails to hit him.
-----Dilton hardly slows his mount and as he rides past the chaotic scene at the wagons, his sword cuts through the neck of yet another guard. Dilton’s hoarse cry urges the other two riders on. They then rush on to meet some more of the troop running about.
-----Very quickly, Lovan is suddenly dismounted by a guard who gets in a lucky strike using a spear. The storm priest hits the ground hard as his horse races on.
-----“Garrison,” Raven yells, “get to Lovan!” The Hunter then moves to help cover Rinda.
-----Two more arrows from Whisper’s bow strike two different guards who look to join the main fight. One man drops down dead while the other stumbles to the side of the road with an arrow in his ribs.
-----Raven quickly slashes into two more guards near Rinda and drops them quickly. Garrison in the meantime charges toward the man with the long spear who stands close to the prone storm priest. With a heavy blow, Garrison kills the man before he can react.
-----From the other side of the wagon, Thunder has struck down a guard, while Sol has struck down two more.
-----Strolum and Dilton now move closer to Sol’s position as some of the guards they met now retreat toward some of the farther buildings.
-----More hooves are heard as Pil and Jyan now ride in leading the horses belonging to the scouts. Suddenly, the adventurers find themselves next to the wagons with very few soldiers challenging them.
-----Farther down the road, a harsh cry goes up as if to rally the retreating soldiers. In the meantime, many of the women and children prisoners look with wide eyes at the adventurers as they hold their positions by the wagons.
-----Sol waves his blade at Strolum and Dilton, calling to them, "Th' pair o' ye... wi' me!" He then slaps Thunder's shoulder in encouragement with his spare hand, and the Stormbringer is carried towards the caller of the rallying troops. Any ranking officer would be the first target of horse and rider.
-----As a new rain of arrows from Whisper takes down three more guards, Sol, Strolum and Dilton ride from the brightest of illumination around the slave wagons toward some of the noise from the western end of the village.
-----Garrison quickly raises a hand and waves a salute to the elf on the rooftop. The woodsman then sees the last two riders to enter the thorp. Observing that they have the horses, Garrison calls out, “Pil! Jyan! Over here!”
-----As the pair hurriedly ride up, Garrison takes the horses from them and says, “You two might want to follow after Sol. We’ll try to secure the wagons here!” The woodsman and Rinda then move to help Lovan.
-----Sol charges down the road leading west out of the thorp. With the light of the campfires behind him, he sees off to the right of the road many small tents pitched revealing where the majority of the small troop resides. Excited yells of “bandits!” and “brigands!” are heard.
-----Suddenly, in the moonlight, Sol sees a mounted figure on a horse standing just a few yards off the road. Escorting the rider are two other mounted riders while a cluster of footed soldiers stand around in disarray excitedly conversing with this mounted figure.
-----Looking up, the rider appears to see the approaching Gorian and by the body language, he seems to recognize Sol as the enemy. With an angry war cry of his own, the rider then breaks from his company and charges straight toward Sol and Thunder.
-----As they meet, the swords flash in the moonlight as the two mounted riders go at each other. Sol delivers three vigorous chops to his opponent before the man can even parry the attacks. As the camp beyond seems to scramble, Sol expertly lays aside two thrusts from his opponent.
