-----Caranip covers her mouth with her hand as she gasps at Raven's news.
-----"Fool," says one of the guards in response to the Hunter. Looking up at the ranger, he then adds, "YOU think they are all dead."
-----The bound and gagged cloak man gives the guard a stern, dark look.
-----Lovan waves off the exchange, saying, "We should finish with the prisoners. Prisoners do nothing more than slow us down."
-----Finally the younger officer answers Sol, first asking, "What do you question that . . . ? Ah!," he then exclaims, "You are not of Ravenhold."
-----He then grits his teeth, partly in dealing with his pain and partly in hate. Setting his stance, the officer then tells Sol, "Ravenhold shall take the northern estates! Lord Sintor has planned our glorious victory! Our allies are the dark lords of the god of hate and fire! With them, Lord Sintor has found alliances with humanoids from the hills and the mountains! Many troops now march to the northern and eastern borders!"
-----Pausing to take some deep breaths, the officer then says in a calmer voice, "You who have defeated us should flee Ravenhold while you can if you will not join our cause."
-----Sol's eyes rise in disgust, "Ferget, though ye didn't actually answer my quest, ye've still given me th' answer I need. Ye don't need justification because yer an evil bastard like Sintor." The Gorian then glances at Raven before suggesting, "Hey Raven, why don't ye take this one here . . . " He points to the guard who responded to the hunter's findings, " . . . and question him further, away from th' group. He's too distracted here."
-----Raven lays a hand on the wolf's back and nods, "Sure we'll have a good ol' heart to heart talk. We'll try not to chew his ear off." Raven moves towards the prisoner, "Let's go. If you want to kiss anyone goodbye, now is the time. No? Get movin' then!"
-----Raven motions to the man the direction he should start walking. With wolf by his side, Raven follows the man.
-----The officer then begins to question Sol further. "And what is it you hope to do, rager?" he asks. "You have stopped our army, but do you think to stop every army across Ravenhold? You and your friends will soon be hunted down. Where is it you hail from? Silvergard? Hearthorn?"
-----"What I hope t'do is none o' yer damn business." Sol replies bluntly, and he also mentions, "If ye hadn't noticed, I'm Gorian."
-----"Well, then you have no hope here, Gorian," the man distastefully answers. "You are a long way from home. If you wish to raid this country, you are all the more foolish. A war is about to begin. This kingdom will not be the same."
-----Rinda remains quiet but looks confused by the man's words.
-----"Right," Garrison says, his voice rising in anger, "Ravenhold's going to take on the rest of the kingdom. How would you expect to win? It all sounds like the dreams of madmen to me."
-----The cloaked man's temper seems to build, although his gag stays him from saying anything. Strolum picks up on it, whispering to Dilton and Pil.
-----The reaction from the other two guards is that both men hang their heads, looking quietly at the ground.
-----Caranip screws her face up, thoroughly disgusted with the prisoners.
-----Just then Dilton leans over and whispers something to Sarah.
-----"Your plan certainly has been working well so far," Lovan suddenly says to the officer with a hint of cynicism in his words.
-----"Fool!" the officer says, rounding on Lovan. He hisses as if he would attack the storm priest if he were not bound. "You and your small band will soon be captured!"
-----"Ye've got a lot of bluster, fer someone who's been so thoroughly defeated. Good fer you. On th' other hand, yer spoutin' an awful lot of useless drivel, so unless ye actually have something o' use t'offer, ye can expect a gag t'add t'yer petty discomfort." Sol promises the young officer.
-----Dilton quickly dismounts and approaches the cloaked man. With a swipe, the warrior pulls the gag from his mouth. In his hoarse voice, Dilton says to him, "Ye be lookin' if'n ye has somethin' t'says. Anyt'ing ye wishes t'tells us?"
-----"The less said the better," the cloaked man hisses, casting an angry look at the armored officer.
-----The officer flinches slightly at the tone of the cloaked man and falls silent.
-----Sol eyes Dilton neutrally and comments, "Well that was helpful, thank ye Dilton."
-----Rinda stares hard at the cloaked man. "Sounds as if you are refusing to say any more. We can't let you go and you're probably too dangerous to keep." The Huntress leaves the statement open for interpretation.
