-----Raven deftly fends off two attackers as Garrison dismounts to back him and Sol up. As the woodsman runs up, two guards break off to meet him. The first one stabs in, slicing Garrison across the leg with a deep gash. "Damn! Here we go again!" the woodsman says as he grimaces against the pain. He then fends off his second attacker.
-----Four face and flank Sol as again the Stormbringer becomes a blur of motion. His sword clangs as he parries off all attacks.
-----"Would ye cower before the storm?!" Lovan's voice is suddenly heard as he, still horsed, faces the assembly from behind the fighting Sol, Raven and Garrison. "Or would ye choose to run and hide your faces from the Fury that threatens to consume you now!" With that the crowd of peasants disperses in a panicked frenzy, many with wide eyes and fearful looks.
-----"Always know the right thing to say," Garrison mutters breathlessly to Lovan as he tries to concentrate on his own attackers. The woodsman swings his axe twice with a forced grunt, but both attacks miss.
-----Sol quickly gives his opponents a strange salute with his sword. In the next moment, the Gorian unlooses his wrath as he sweeps his sword in a deadly arc slicing across three of his opponents. As they fall dead, Sol's last opponent raises his sword.
-----Raven moves to end the life of the last guard. Raven says to the group, "Let none escape to enslave more people."
-----Sol takes a couple of quick steps backwards, and swings back into Thunder's saddle. The last of his current opponents could be left for his companions. Now new players were entering the field, and they had yet to meet the storm.
-----Eyes flickered over the remaining enemy soldiers, and then to the just revealed cavalry. Recognizing the new threat, the Elf began moving forward, hand reaching for the quiver at his side, drawing an arrow that seemed to be padded, with a heavy end. A quick shake, and the wrapping fell away. And then the arrow was nocked, and sailing towards the advancing horsemen.
-----The Hunter lets loose with a ripping slash tearing into the opponent facing him. As the man falls dead, Raven spies a guard rising from the bushes who had earlier tried to jump Sol. With a leap of his own, Raven takes the man down before he can cry out.
-----With a sudden angry yell, Lovan urges his horse forward, galloping toward a guard sporting an arrow protruding from his leg. The Storm Priest reaches low with his warhammer and swings as he passes the injured guard. With a sickening thud to his head, the guard falls to the ground and remains motionless.
-----Garrison gives his own yell as he wades into one of his attackers and delivers a bone-shattering chop to the man's chest. The other guard facing the woodsman jabs in with his sword but throws himself off balance. As the man turns to face Garrison once again, the woodsman drops him with a fatal hit. Much blood is spilled as the guard's head sails off his shoulders.
-----All this action suddenly gives Whisper a chance to move, which he does with bow in hand.
-----The last remaining guard on the hill is the last one that was facing Sol. As the Gorian begins his charge up the incline, the guard looks about uncertainly. He then begins hopping to the side avoiding the horses ridden by Strolum, Dilton and Pil as they ride after Sol. The man then finds himself barely missing an arrow in the chest from Rinda.
-----A cry of attack comes from the riders atop the hill just as Sol closes in. The young warrior seems intent on one main rider as he holds the Lathanian blade high.
-----A twang sounds from Whisper's bow as a single arrow shoots toward one of the riders. It smacks strongly into the chest of one of the riders and immediately a burst of flame goes up! The explosion seems to engulf three riders, those on the left hand side of the line. For a moment, the horses seemed unnerved, but amazingly, the riders look slightly singed by the blast. In the meantime, Sol looks as if he is engaging the others in battle.
-----In the next few moments, the Lathanian blade catches the sunlight as it is seen rising and descending amid the battle. By this time, the trio of warriors has just about reached the summit right behind Sol. Lovan urges his horse on after the others, while Garrison runs to his horse. Raven and Whisper are already running up the incline as peasants continue to scatter to their homes or flee the battle scene.
-----Strolum swings at one of the riders who took damage from Whisper's arrow. The red-headed warrior misses as the burned warrior parries him. Dilton likewise misses as he attempts to draw one of the lesser officers away from Sol's battle with what looks like to be the main officer. Lovan swings his warhammer but misses another slightly burned rider.
-----Sol's sword blazes in the light twice more as Pil meets the sword of another lesser officer.
