-----Sol then moves to stand by Raven's side, ready to move into the ruins at his say. Before they do move off however, the Gorian jokingly offers the Storm Priest a choice, "Lovan, if ye think ye'd be bored or if ye feel ye need th' rest, yer more'n welcome t'head along wi' Silvergard's lord t'th' first stop."
-----An amused smile creeps across Sarah's face. Although she had been staring vacantly up at the sky she had been paying attention. "The other what exactly?" She says to Sol, poking him in the ribs. She's ready to go in, only wanting more since the elves are telling them not to.
-----"Exactly," agrees Sol rather affably, fully aware that he made no sense whatsoever.
-----Romney quietly nods and sheathes his sword. Mirian is then transferred to his horse and as Romney rides off after the troop, the dancer gives Sarah a worried glance as she watches the adventurers approach the ruins.
-----Lovan considers Sol's words before nodding slowly and saying, "May the Rage be with you." With that, Lovan rides off behind Romney.
-----The sun sends a few golden beams down through a break in the clouds as Raven and Sol begin edging toward the opening. Garrison stands right behind them with his battle-axe drawn. The woodsman twists up his face at the dank, moldy odor that seems to come from the area beyond the destroyed portion of the wall. "Smells like a few things crawled in here to die," he utters.
-----Passing the makeshift threshold here is no easy task as the stones form a slight uneven incline that the adventurers have to navigate. The vines covering the stones glisten with a wetness that is sure to be slick.
-----However, the five people carefully ascend the uneven stones sometimes with arms out at their sides for balance and no one falls. As they reach the top of the small incline, they can see into the deep gloom of an exposed chamber within.
-----There before them lies a wide room some twenty feet across with a high ceiling. Nothing furnishes this room except for what appears to be short wide statues.
-----"Careful here!" Garrison warns suddenly pulling forth a lighted torch. Just as he does, the light falls on the statues revealing their true natures.
-----Four large toads, about five feet in length and having stony gray skin stand still with the under part of their throats throbbing. Two of the toads turn toward the opening and one of them looks ready to leap!
-----Raven snarls as he draws his swords. Without saying a word he attacks the closest toad.
-----"How odd...," comes Sol's only comment as he mimics Raven by drawing his sword. He doesn't move into attack however, seemingly unwilling to attack yet. Instead he stands near Sarah, in a prepared stance ready to swing if one of the oversized amphibians does decide to attack him.
-----Raven rushes up to the nearest toad delivering a slicing maneuver on it that spills ooze on the ruined stone floor. The toad appears to burp up at the ranger and for a moment it seems as if the creature's head erupts.
-----Suddenly Raven's arms are pinned at his sides as a massively strong tongue wraps itself quickly around him. As the hunter struggles, the toad he injured begins pulling him toward its awaiting mouth.
-----Just as suddenly, another toad leaps landing just a few feet from Sarah and Sol. In the flash of a moment, a slick pinkish tongue shoots out and wraps itself around the dainty, golden form of Sarah.
-----With a curse, Garrison quickly reacts jumping to the side of the animal ready to chop at it. Just as he raises his battleaxe, another tongue quickly finds his arm and the woodsman is foiled as he tries to maintain his balance.
-----Rinda moves to gain a good shot and fires an arrow at the toad menacing Raven. Her shot goes wide striking the stone walls. The huntress curses as she desperately reaches for another arrow.
-----Sol quickly strikes with his Lathanian blade severing the tongue that traps Sarah. The toad emits a croaking shriek as it quickly draws back what's left of its oral appendage. Sarah still appears wrapped in three layers of the beast's tongue around her waist and one arm pinned.
-----Rinda's second arrow thuds into her quarry protruding just under its gaping mouth. Suddenly the wolf leaps past Raven and bites deeply into the toad's tongue. The wolf hangs on and rips by shaking its head as its feet touch the ground.
-----In the back, another toad quietly waits, watching the action with its dull eyes.
-----Sol's nonchalant attitude continues as he darts in and swings a couple of blows at the toad whose tongue he'd just shortened. As he does so, the warrior comments, "I don't quite know what to make of this. Someone confirm this for me...we're being attacked by big frogs?"
