Epona-all there is to know
Link's horse Epona is vital for
crossing the massive
land of Hyrule in no time at
all. Over the following
page there are detailed instructions
as to how to access
this very important creature!
Step 1
As young Link approach Lon Lon ranch. In the centre
of the Ranch is Malon
the girl you met outside Hyrule castle. If you
speak to her a few times she will teach
you Epona's Song. This is vital to get Epona
as a grown up ( she can only be ridden when you are old)
Step 2
Once you have collected the three spiritual Stones
and become
Big Link return to the ranch. You will
find that it has been taken over by
Ingo, the unhappy farmhand. He will allow you
to go into the ranch
and ride the horses for 10 rupees. Agree
to this and enter the Ranch.
Step 3
Now play Epona's song to summon Epona.
Mount Epona
( she is the reddish horse with the white mane)
and gallop over the jumps.
Now if you speak to Ingo whilst on Horseback
he will challenge you to a race. Accept his challenge.
Step 4
After beating Ingo twice he will let you keep
Epona (as he bet on her the second time).
He will not let you leave however and locks the
main gate.
To leave the ranch just gallop at of the concrete
rampards at the far side.
If you have enough speed you will jump over
the rampards and you will have Epona!!!
