This is a fantastic subgame that is addictive and well done. It is possible to go fishing both as young and old Link however to arrive at the pond as a teenager you must plant a seed at the house near the lake.
   The object of the game is to catch the biggest fish possible ( for young Link: 10 pounds, for old Link: 20 pounds) and gain the reward from the manager.
   As young Link the reward is nominal but if you catch the largest fish as an adult you will be rewarded with a Golden scale  that allows you to dive for a maximum of nine seconds before you have to come up for air.
    The largest fish is by the log that just sticks out from the surface. He is hard to catch though so you might have to try for some time!! Little extras such as the night and day feature working and the possibility of catching the fishermans hat make this a really great subgame.

       At first this is a really challenging subgame but once you work out the pattern ( only applicable to young Link as it is Random for Old) it becomes less hard. Fast reactions are needed to hit the red rupees but there is a way to make it easier. For the red ones aim slightly in front of where they are, this should let you win every time. If you hit 8 targets you will get another go. A perfect score as Young Link will earn you a bomb bag.
