Ogat Training Academy Academy of Beginner and Trainging Deck Designs

Warriors must be trained to be a valuable member of the empire and the Ogat Academy is the place to do it. At the Academy new players to STCCG can find some deck designs to put together using only common and uncommon cards to use to learn the basics of the game. Experienced players can use these to teach new players how the game works and not tie up valuable cards with training tools.

In a fit of boredom and a desire to have some decks built to teach new players how to play I designed a series of what I call Beginner Decks. The basic premis was to design a deck for each of the easy to play affiliations that were balanced with each other and used only common and uncommon cards. I took them with me to BattleCon '99 in Indianapolis and due to a shortage of players on Friday night we decided to play a tournament with each player using one of these decks. We all had a blast and was one of the most enjoyable set of games we played. That is the reason I have decided to list them on my site. Build them and have fun with them. Feel free to alter them if you like but I designed them to be balanced. There are two dilemmas for each mission and believe me that is plenty.
