You head towards the forest. As you enter it, you see that most of the trees are a kind you've never seen before. They have silver bark, and the leaves are gold on top and crimson on the bottom. Suddenly you notice a small animal in one of them. It's about the size of a chipmunk, but it has a more narrow tail, and it's back is covered in a plethora of black spots. It's fur is silver, gold and crimson. As you continue through the trees, you begin to notice more of the strange animal. You are so busy looking for them that you bump into Raidly when he stops. You look up, to see that you are encircled by a group of people. The people's clothing is leather, and each has his or her spear pointed at you.
"Who are you?" asks a woman, who is apparently leader.
"Uh, my name's Raidly," says your guide. He point to you, "This person is a stranger to our world, and a guest of Evend."
"You are Evend's friend?" the woman asks you, sounding surprised. You nod vigorously. She then bows to you and says, "For the sake of his mother, we will not kill you." Raidly sighs in audible relief.
You still don't entirely trust these people, but you decide to be brave and talk to them anyway. You spot one of those strange animals in a nearby tree, and point to it. "What is that animal?" you ask.
"Ah," replies the woman. "That is the ginnal. This forest is the only place the ginnal lives naturally. We have recently been able to tame some. To our surprise, we found that they may be bonded. All you need do is spend a few hours with one, and it will become bonded. They're fairly intelligent, about the same level as the weyr's flits."
"Do you think I could bond a ginnal?" you ask.
"I think you might," answers the woman. "There are a few rules, of course. You must have a webpage, and it must not contain offensive matterial. You may not redistribute ginnals, and you may not change them without Silvanon's permission. Also, we request that you provide a link back to Gavania. Can you follow these rules?"
You nod, and the woman contines, "We have a few wild ones on hand. You're welcome to attempt bonding as many as you like. If you do succeed, you might do us the favor of signing the guestbook and mentioning it. Oh, and don't forget to upload your friend to your own server."
The woman points you towards a small enclosure, in which you see several ginnals.
The palace sits through the trees to the east. To the west you can just make out a mountain range.
You are traveler number to visit the Gavankan Mish.
