Clan General Information The Clans of EliteMUD

General Elite clans are based on membership and ranks. You can only be a
member of one clan (at a time). What you do for the clan and
what the clan requires from you is totally depending on what clan
it is, who is leading it and the rules the clan has. To apply to
join a clan, you have to belevel 10 or greater. Each clan may
have a different minimum level for membership, so check the clan's info.

Foundation To be able to found and run a clan, certain criteria must be
fulfilled from you. You have to be a high-level, experienced
player in general and know EliteMud well. You must be able to
take responsibility for what you do and have a great
responsibility for your members. You must know the clan rules,
and follow them. There are some more details. There is a fee of
5 million gold pieces to found a clan. If interested please
contact the immortal in charge of clans, currently Brigantia,
to start the application process.

The details of what you will need on the application include:

1. A medieval or fantasy theme, one which
will not clash with the theming of Elite.

2. The 20 names of the characters wishing to form the clan
*An immortal member is highly recommended, but is not required.*

3. A listing of the proposed clan ranks and start up officers.

Rules These rules may change without notice, so always check them now and then.
* Clans may not in any way contribute to an anti-social behaviour.
* Within the clan, the clan rules are followed, assuming they do
FOLLOW the GOLDEN POLICIES. ( use: POLICY command )
* The clan leader(s) are responsible for all members. If a
members breaks rules and isn't handled correctly, he/she and the
clan may be be deleted.

Commands
By using the command CLAN, you will get a list of the clan
subcommands you can use. As you raise in ranks in you clan,
you will get more.
Short descriptions of what some subcommands do:

HELP	Help on clan system.	clan help
TITLE	Will toggle the display of your clan name and rank in the who list.	clan title
RESIGN	You will leave you clan unconditionally. If you are not happy with your clan, use this command.	clan resign
ENLIST	Enrolls a character into your clan.	clan enlist (character)
RAISE	Advance a clan member to the next higher clan level.	clan raise (character)
DEMOTE	Lower a clan member to the next lower clan level.	clan demote (character)
EXPEL	Remove a clan member from your clan. *Must be used while character is online. If character is offline see your clan deity.	clan expel (character)
TELL	The clan's communication channel.	ct (message)
WHO	Lists the clan members currently in the game.	clan who

Deity A immortal may choose to be your clans 'deity', immortal leader.He/She will be the voice of your clan in the immortal realm. The immortal may only be part of discipliniary action or answer questions. He/she isto see that the clan rules and EliteMUD policy are followed.
Immorts MAY NOT:retrieve corpsesload equipmenthelp in mob killingor in any other way break the general Imm rules.

Clan Houses Costs of renovations or new construction:
Basic clan house 10 rooms: 50mil Extra rooms (30 rooms/clan house MAX): 5 mil per room *only 1 room per person (immortals may have 2, godroom and mortal) *only 1 donation room per clan Room changes: 1mil / room ATM or Fountain: 15 mil Special Flags: no_teleport, silent, private: FREE regen, lawfull, pkok, nomob: 15mil each
Clan info or rank changes: 1 mil per occurrance

Clan Ranks Each clan has ranks within it. There are 10 ranks in each clan. Theranking decides what you can do and what responsibilities youhave. This is a sample standard ranking:ApplyingNew memberMemberSoldierAdeptAdvisorRulerQueenKingDeity
They may have different names though, depending on the clan.

Probation After being approved to form a clan, the newly formed clan will be put on one month's probation. In this time the clan will be reviewed by a board consisting of the 112+'s and the immortal in charge of clans. The only objective requirement to fulfill is obtaining 25 members. The rest is subjective. Some of the subjective items could include *but are not limited to*: organization, leadership, inter-clan relations, activity. Also, current clans will be reviewed as needed. Any clan which does does not show improvement while on probation will be deleted.
