Background
There's a certain stretch of hills in Utah where the creatures of the Reckoning seldom tread. That's because this ridge is protected by Earl Cotten, a cantankerous old mountain man hermit who's twice as dangerous as he looks - because he's actually a Werewolf dedicated to fighting the Abominations of the Reckoning. He prefers to deal with the Indians in the area rather than the "damn useless town rats" of the local settlements, but mostly keeps to himself, with only a seedy looking wolf as company.
However, circumstances don't allow for Earl to stay out of the fight for long, and he is looking for like minded Lycanthropes to aid him in his struggle against the craetures of the Reckoning - in particaular he doesn't care for the "New Breed" of Werewolves, which are vile Abominations created by the insiduous Reckoners and give "true" Lycanthropes a bad name...
Appearance
An imposing figure at 6'3", Earl is in his mid-40's, although no-one knows for sure. He weighs about 200lbs but it's hard to tell this from the mass of rags and furs he wears which pass for clothes. His weathered and scarred old face is obscured by his dirty beard and hair, both of which haven't been washed for some time. The majority of his skins are those of the creatures and varmits he has encountered in the Weird West, his trousers have Mojave Rattler skin patches here and there, and his coat sometimes smells of Wendigo fur....
Quote - "There's a foul odour around here...hmmmph...smells like civilised folk"

Earls' wolf companion...
Using his "Wolfbrother" skill Earl may communicate with wolves, this particular wolf would follow Earl into the pits of the Hunting Grounds if necessary, even if Earl didn't have his special talent. The wolf (who has no name) is dark grey in colour with yellow eyes and a huge bushy tail, it is nearly as large as Earl is in Wolf Form!

Notes on Earl...
The character of Earl Cotten is originally from "Werewolf:The Wild West", but seeing as though no statistics were provided for him the above interpretation will do just fine. It says in the Werewolf rulebook that Earl is dedicated to fighting evil, so it wouldn't be too hard for your posse to run into him - he may even come looking for their help if he has a tough job on his hands, especially if they too are Lycanthropes, but Earl does not tolerate laziness or those who do not give their all to destroying the evil which is polluting the land, so play him as a severe character - often misguided by his burning desire to rid the world of the "new breed" of Werewolves - but ultimately he is a true hero and should be treated as such.
