Folks in the Deadlands are a mighty strange bunch, some are willing to help the posse in their fight against the Reckoners, others are there to simply hinder them and make their lives a nightmare...detailed below are some of these would-be heroes and nefarious villains who populate the Weird West, many of them will be based on real life western personages, others are from popular films and comics, and others still are derived from my own over-active imagination (and from the minds of others too!)
HEROES!
These folks are here to help the posse, or leastways they're not trying to hurl them off the nearest cliff! I use them in my campaigns when the posse need a helping hand or just to spice an adventure up a bit
Emerald Jackson - A Huckster from the Great Maze who's planning on writing a book on all the strange happenings in the West
Lee-Arnold Walker is a Texas Ranger from Dallas who actually doesn't rely on pistols to get him out of a sticky situation
Harvey Bernstein, an annoying journalist determined to get the big scoop.
Earl Cotten, a Lycanthrope backwoodsman who don't much like what the Reckoning is doing for his people!
"Doc" Emmet Brown. This crazy old inventor keeps having "flashbacks", not of the past but of the future!.........What?!
Isaiah Morningkill. An Honourable adventurer who is searching into the cause of the Reckoning as atonement for a minor discrepancey against his "clan". Who are all WereWolves. Aha....
VILLAINS!
Dastardly, scheming, no-good evil people (and "things") that just don't like to see a good guy do his job. These viscious hombres (and hombresses) are used in my campaigns as either the fearmonger of an adventure or as an on-going villain. Either way they aren't people you'd like to meet on a dark night...
The Three Storms are an ancient trio of evil-hearted Chinese martial artists with supernatural powers.
Eddie "Spencer" Rogers is an Confederate deserter and head of the infamous Rogers gang who plunder and collect "treasure"
Sheriff Taylor - a lawman who has a slight stomach upset...
Ben Hardmann. This fellow is a Harrowed Huckster who plays a sour tune on the flute.
Symeon Bryant is a restless spirit with a "wooden" personality...you'll see!
The ScareCrow. A severly disturbed scientist who likes to "hurt" people. Especially Yankees....
"Black Hand" Klegg is a wanted man in the North after riding with the wrong bunch of Southern hard-asses!
