FAQ:
1) I don't know squat about web pages or html.  How do I work this?

   A: Since at absolute best, this is a case of the one eyed at 20/500 
leading the blind, trial and error will be a good part of the practice.
Basically, save everything between the above the [/pre] ("[" and "]"
characters used in lieu of angle brackets) line after the GURPS is 
a registered... part of the html document, except for the last two lines,
[/body] and [/html]. as an ascii file on a word processor or html editor 
if you have one (though if you have a decent html editor, you probably don't 
need to bother with this character sheet).  

   Any time you encounter a line of underscore characters, like: 
_____________________, replace it with the appropriate text for the 
character, delete the excess underscores or lengthen the line a little as 
needed.  Just be careful not to go too far or the browser will cut the line 
and the excess will go on till it hits that [br] or [p] tag, leaving weird 
line breaks.

   The main underscore lines are 60 characters in length, about what fit
on an early copy of Mosaic I tested it on.  The [br] and [p] tags tell
the browser to end the line and make a single or double space break.  
Combinations of [br] and [p] tags can make a longer break between text
as well, if you need one.

   Finally, SAVE the altered file (as ascii (or text file on many 
processors)under a new name.  This is to keep the template file 
available for future characters.  If you use this file extensively, 
it's a good idea to keep back up copies.  Sooner or later you're 
going to hit "save" instead of "save as" and your current work 
erases and replaces the original.

   Using the extension .htm or .html on computer operating systems that can 
handle 4 or more characters to the right of the period.  

   It's not absolutely necessary, but most browsers are fairly dumb and only 
recognize/pull up files with the "proper" extensions.  Save yourself the 
hassle of having to find your files.

   If all has gone right, you should have a better than psuedo typewriter
looking character sheet postable to a web server.
