These photographs were taken in and around a tiny little college town north of New York City. The water really is that blue in the 'Sky Lake' of Lake Minnewasska. The house was the inspiriation for 'The Man With One Eye', which I have posted in my story section.

As for the town itself, New Paltz lies between the Catskill Mountians and Poughkippsie. It's a quiet little college town with a number of clubs and other businesses that tend to cater to the college-age crowd. The beat up car rests on the very top of the mountian, with no decernable way for it to get there. I'm guessing it belongs to Elvis or some such. There's a story in there somewhere, when I write it I'll be sure to post it here. What is so cool about the town, though, is off in the distance you can see the Mohonk Mountian House. If any of you have ever read the book "The Shining" by Stephen King, the tower he describes in that book matches the Mohonk Mountian House exactly, and I mean exactly! (Sorry there's no picture of this, I don't have any that aren't copyrighted.... :-P )
