Burning Rubber:Basic Tips to Gain Speed

1. This is one of the tracks on which multiple powerslides are very useful, due to the variety of long, wide turns. Get off as many as possible.

2. Mushroom Usage: Near the end of the last long turn (before the green pipe tunnel), use a mushroom to turbo through the sand, to the left of the flower, and powerslide so that you rejoin the track parallel.

Confirmed Tricks: How to Jump, Slide, and Skid Your Way to Victory

• Mario's Great Adventure: (Note: you do NOT need a mushroom to perform this trick, but it sure helps if you do.)When approaching turn 4, drive a little way up onto the green hill, and as you round the corner, powerslide right. Use your mushroom if you have one, and cross the road at its most upward-sloping part. Now jump, and you should, if aimed correctly, fly over the wall and land on the other side. This trick has two variants:
  1. (easier version) If you aim to the left of the dividing wall, you will land on the other side, but not much time is saved.

  2. (harder version) If you aim to the right of the dividing wall, you will land right outside the green pipe tunnel, and will have saved a good 10 seconds.
