Hello, everybody!

I'm Sophie. I come from Quebec, but currently lives in Northern California. (That's truly Northern California, near the Oregon border, and bears no resemblance to the horror called Los Angeles, for those of you unfamiliar with the notion that there is anything in California north of Anaheim.) I'm an engineer, having transitioned from civil engineering to environmental engineering; I'm currently completing a Master's and working as a T.A.

My native language is French, which means my initiation to role-playing games (a long, long time ago - I'm 32) was through such titles as "Dongeons et Dragons" (ugh) et "L'Appel de Cthulhu". I've played with two or three dozen systems, and in general I prefer those that are very fluid to number-crunching ones.

Personal interests that originally got me interested in role-playing include theater, literature, medieval history, along with a good deal of naivete on my part. Good role-players are rare!
