....The Middle ages were a time of troubles......
Europe was ravaged in the 1300’s by an all out war that broke out in England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Holland. While England and France eyed eachother from within the Aquitane, a little Island country known as Mallorca started the spark that lit the explosion. Jaime Mallorca invaded Arles by attacking the Rei of Naples D’anjou. Danjou was allied with France and Italy through treaty’s wich forced both the Roi de France and the Imperarator Visconti to come to his aid.
Quickly everyone began to take sides. Italy and France united in an alliance to assist eachother against each’s enemy’s. While Spain, Germany and England United to wage war upon France. the English alliance quickly took the advantage, led by Kaiser Von Bayern who’s invasion into Flanders and Grand Pre took the French by surprise and divided there forces away from the southern attacks by the Spaniards Navarre, Mallorca, and Berenguer. Italy was in a self inflicted civil war that would plague them throughout the century with Visconti forced to handle rebellious Mega fief owners and there English and Spanish allies.
As if the mass war was not enough, there came invaders from the East who cared little for any of the nations involved in the blood bath. Mongols, Turks, Pirates and Vikings all made there way into Europe in an attempt to lay claim to there own lands. None were successfull as Pontiff from his perch in Papal Estates directed organized attacks wich held them at bay and one by one cast them to the pits of hell.
60 years of war went on. The French plagued by the unified alliance and several outlaws such as the famous Rouchechourt who dominated the Brittany warfare for most of the war were unable to keep up with the invaders. Italy struggled to keep its outlaws at bay, never losing ground or gaining, but unable to come to its ally france’s aid were helpless to watch as the english and Spanish routed french army after army. The Roi was captured several times and spent much of his life in Prison.
Finally with a surprising twist, Roi Jean died without a male heir to take over ending the Valois line. Navarre who had laid his claim to the french throne since the beginning won the parliament vote and became Roi de France. He then rewarded King Edward’s assistance with 10 large french provinces. thus dividing up France to the victors.
